    From Rip City Project-
Disgruntled and oft-discussed Blazer guard Rudy Fernandez had himself quite a game, dropping 16 points on a perfect 7-for-7 from the field. If you don’t believe me check the box scores, I had to check a couple before my jaw stopped dropping. Despite all of the off-court talk, Fernandez has put together a nice tournament for Spain averaging 13.6 points a game, 5.7 rebounds a game, shooting 56.9% from the field (33-for-58), 40% from behind the arc (13-for-32) and 90% from the line (30-for-33).

What does this do to boost his trade value? Do NBA teams already know what he is capable of in the international setting or where they wanting to see how he would rebound from a sophomore slump? Personally, I think it can only help. His stroke looked pure like it did in 2009 and he was all over the place, making plays, passing, catching alley-oops, everything. I wonder why his performance improved so drastically? Was it him finally getting healthy or being more comfortable playing with his countrymen? Maybe a combination of both? What's your take on it?

No doubt in my mind that Rudy was more motivated to play for his country.  And I'm sure it was a factor that Pau Gasol wasn't along for the trip, and the team needed someone other players to step up their games and vie for the leadership role.

I agree, his numbers and highlight clips are a nice addition to Rich Cho's bargaining position.  Nobody expects him to be the star, but he played well enough to make an argument for a starting position somewhere.

Rudy is an MVP over sea's .. so his performance to me was not that impressive. I just wished his talent would transend into his NBA career .. I understand Rudy's time as a Blazer may well be over from all accounts, but it would still be great to see him have a great NBA career none the less ..

I wish him all the best and truly hope that he finds a  great place in the NBA for his near superstar abilities and that they would come back in spades for him this year in the NBA ..

Outside of that I personally think that his play in the Worlds will elevate Cho's bargaining position with Rudy to other teams. Especially if its a packaged deal ..

I would have to agree that Cho's position now has been enhanced with Rudy's play in the Worlds.  The only thing I feel was lacking in Fernandez's performances was consistency from game to game.  Otherwise, I believe that Rudy played in such a way as to erase any doubt as to whether or not he was still physically capable, following the Ariza foul and his subsequent back surgery.  IMO, this was and is equally, if not MORE important than the numbers he posted.  I too, wish him the best...just not against what will likely soon be his former team

Hawes would be a good pick up

Great passer, decend rebounder, plays pretty good D. He does take a lot of jumpers

I watched Shabazz at the combine and he was a poor shooter.  In fact he did  so bad he did not even show up for drills in day two.  He may be a scorer not a shooter.  If he throws up enough shots he scores.  If someone looks a...

I would agree LMA is a decent defender but his help defense and team defense needs a lot of work. It is in these areas that Bosh really separates himself from LMA and it is because of that he is a better player than LMA despite not putting the sam...

I was looking at some shooting stats and came across a very very alarming stat. LMA was the league leader in FGA from 16-23 feet. Not only was he the leader he was lead by a mile. His 7.3 attempts from this distance easily outpaced Demar Derozan w...

Sug I would start with him outscoring Wesley Matthews. He also needs to get his FTA up and his FG% up and cut down the turnovers.

His defense was decent last year but not that good as he is either too weak or just unwil...
