I didn't get the pleasure of seeing him yet and i don't feel like youtubing somebody just to see highlights you can't get an accurate read based on ONLY their best plays... I hope he is worth the hype, i have been hearing a lot about Armon and not so much about Williams so i hope he was worth the draft pick

I've only seen Armon in action during summer league. I liked his defensive potential and he made some good plays. It's hard to say anything until we see him against some real NBA competition but it seems he is excited and eager to learn and has the skills to potentially become a real nice pg.

Armon has a reach of 6'8 !!! Thats such a huge thing he is able to defend both guard positions as well as the SF positions for stretches at a time ..

He is more then able to defend either guard position, and with the addition of Mathew's .. Portlands bench is going to be an even more solid defensive unit then the primary !!

    C.   Billa (The Manilla Gorilla is a never back down type of dude solid role player)
    PF. Camby (Nuff said)
SF. Mathews (Able to defend any SF in the league)
SG. Armon (6'8 wingspan, able to defend any SG in the league)
PG. Bayless (Able to defend even the quickest PG's in the league)

This bench would be absolutly a defensive nightmare for nearly every team out there .. while being able to go threw both Mathew's and Bayless as the primary and secondary scorer's

I <3 what he brings on defense......

But he is a rookie, I'm not going to get too excited yet about him seeing a lot of playing time. I hope Nate gives him and Williams time in the pre season / blow outs to get their feet wet on the floor with Roy.

College and summer league play isnt always instantly transferred to the nba.

Armon will get playing time .. of that I have no doubt, especially against CP3 and Deron .. or even other less talented PG's if only to try to gauge his defensive ability.

I hope at least Nate is smart enough to understand he has to do this at some point this year ..

Nate has a nasty habit of not playing rookies .. because they are rookies .. unless his hand is forced in the matter (read last year's injury woe's for Dante and Jeff to even see play time)

Armon getting minutes this season? I'm not buying it. It doesn't have much to do with his skills, bit with Roy, Miller, Matthews, Bayless all entrenched in the 4 guard rotation, I'm not seeing much more than mop-up duty. In the future, he will once Andre moves on, but I hope this year can be a learning year from him. From all accounts I've heard, he has been soaking up information like a sponge and has a determination to get better, so I know we found a 2nd round gem.

Agree 100 on both Nates habit of not playing rookies, and AJ being a gem in the rough.

I think the only way Armon gets run is if we deal two of our point guards, allowing him to be the primary backup to a guy like..Devin Harris for instance. But then again, I haven't seen Elliot play and he may be able to run some point for us as well. Nothing will be known until we consolidate some of dang talent at the wing position.

This team is in need of a consolidation move,as stated by ClydeFrog, heavy at the guard positions.  I fully expect this to happen just prior to the deadline in February.  After said move is made, the dust settles, and AJ is still a Blazer...he will get minutes.  I believe Nate sees a little of himself in Armon, and that alone will be enough by midseason to curb the coaches past reluctancies to play rooks

Nate won the jewelry at the Championship game. Im proud him and happy for him. I hope he doess change his thinking a little bit about some rookies. Specifically Armon. I'd like to see what he's got at the Nba level too.

Rumors have shown that the Rockets are very interested in Dwight Howard and that the interest is mutual.

    I''d trade for Asik.

Jeremy Lamb? I definitely think he was buried in OKC''s bench, so i don''t know how good he really is. I know he is amazing in 2K though.

Sanders better shotblocker, better dunker and around the rim, Asik better defensively. I think Asik will have the better career.
