We're going to keep him and send Pendergraph to the Stampede. At least i hope so.

Personally I like JP, he can be developed into a hustle/emotion player that we need.  He isn't afraid of banging and he keeps the intensity no matter if we are up by 30 or down by 50.  We need someone that loves to play basketball as much as Jeff does.

As hard as it will be for me to see him go, Joel won't be a Blazer in March.  What this team missed more than anything in his absence (with his injury), was his toughness and swagger.  He was a leader by example in this regard, and the rest of his teammates seemed to feed off of it.  Without him?  Could be scary.

One of the best examples I can think of involved Shaq.  The two of them have had many battles, most of them at some point, featured Joel flat on his back.  Shaq had this habit of dropping the ball on Joel while he was on the floor.  Most Blazers would simply stand up and hand the ball to the nearest official.  Joel, though, took offense.  On this particular occassion, the Thrilla threw the ball back at Oneal and the two then went nose to nose.  The look in Joel's eyes was truly priceless.  Good stuff!  Love it!

Joel is a blazer in his heart and soul no matter where he goes he will always be a blazer to me and i hope he signs his final year back here so he can end his career on this team and go out with all the love Portland has for him.

What's gonna happen... looking at short-term, or this year, he will probably at most stick around with us.  He's too valuable of a person to just let loose.  We could still try to squeeze some stuff out of Przy so he could mentor Oden, even though we have Camby at that job.  While I see Przy sticking around for a while, it won't be long until he's packaged in a trade.
And @BDawg, personally, I think we could live without Przy.  Take Outlaw for example.  I'm not going to say who is more valuable/important to the team, since it would lead to unnecessary argument, but what both brought to the team was character.  Before you guys go out and tell me to get glasses because I'm blind, I understand Przy brings way more character on the court than Outlaw.  However, Outlaw was a chiller version of Pendergraph off-court, and I think he was the guy who helped other teammates bond a bit better.  In the end, while I see both players as help to our team and while we could live better without them, what they brought to us out of basketball was great.

Joel is the man. I agree with Fallen, i think we should do whatever we can to keep our Pivot Pryz.
I forget which one of you guys is the feasable scenario master, when it comes to money trades and whatnot.
If it could happen what would it take.

The year before we got Oden I would say trade him. The years after he fought for his job and earned it. I am not sure when he will be back but it was a pretty serious injury(in the shower LOL). We could get alot for him in a trade I am sure but I would rather have him on the bench as insurance than one of the other players that will never see a minute of playing time. We can move Camby to PF/C. Unless we bring some monster trade with him I am in favor of keeping him for now. We are rich in big men right now that is a luxury that all teams should be envious of. My 2 cents

Joel will be traded for a 2nd rounder or will be part of a package deal.... if it was up to me we'd keep him for insurance reasons since we don't know what oden will make of himself.... but i got a feeling he will eventually be traded because of his expiring contract.

Henson will be solid down the road but his ceiling is more like Taj Gibson. He is a great role player but not elite like Sanders and Ibaka could be if people were not so willing to shoot on him.
