@blazersforlife234:  Just give Bayless a chance?  What does that even mean?  Do you want him to keep going in and committing turnovers?  You said you don't like Oden; I'm guessing that's because he's been given chances and he hasn't produced.  Bayless has been given chances, and he also hasn't produced much.  He hasn't been injured, I'll give him that.

and maybe Camby, put the rest in a garage sale.

Famous Roy over here hatin on Bayless, showin no love. The kids good, whether you like it or not, yea sure maybe he had a couple turnovers, but who doesnt?
Karl Malone is considered one of the best players of all time, top 100, he's in the hall of fame, but he also has the record for most career turnovers, like 4000+.
Bayless just needs more time to be worked with, the guys a killer from deep, and you cant pass up that size @ 6'4, he is the missing piece to the trailbalzer championship puzzle.

Note that I really don't think anyone on this team is bad at all. Anyone can have a breakout season, anyone can suddenly become a 6th man candidate. This would just be my current list of most on-the-court value in my opinion. I would love for these guys to change my mind.

    Disliked: 1. Rudy  2. Williams  3. Bayless.

Nothing against Roy and LMA.  They're too good to need me lovin' them.
Now for the dislikes, the only one I really dislike is Rudy.  I don't hate Elliot or Jerryd.  I don't even necessarily dislike them, but I put them on, because I don't see how they fit with our team.  Williams seems kinda like another Jerryd, but he MIGHT have better 3s.  Bayless, on the other hand, needs to have a breakout season now, or else, he will really seem like a bad fit.  Again, I'm not hating on them, just saying how they don't seem to fit with our team, YET.  But since Bayless has been on our team longer, I'm going to support him much more.

Ok lets see... it means exactly what i said. GIVE HIM A CHANCE. We used a lottery pick on him two years ago and he still hasnt seen the starting lineup and gets limited minutes... he plays harder than anyone on the team and has the swagger that the teams needs. Like I said, he's probably not one of my favorite Blazers but its very funny to me how everyone is like, oh yeah lamarcus and oden are sooo awesome and i love their game and all this, when Bayless has done so much more with less opportunity. Lamarcus has been here four years AS A NUMBER TWO OVERALL PICK and hasn't yet lived up to his potential. (and like you said bayless has never been hurt). I don't "dislike" anyone on the team, i'm just puttin it in perspective.

umm look up when Roy was injured blazers 4 life look at top scorer in Janurary and early Feb with 20.2 ppg Aldridge and bayless is still overrated his assist/T.O is very high and he always trys to get fouled sometimes it works but if it doesnt its badd oden is haveing freak accidents i think if it came skill wise Bayless is worst out of Oden and Aldridge and if it came down to it the team would do close to same without bayless without oden we wouldnt have a back up center cuz Przybilla is out for a while more then without Aldridge he would lose our 2nd best scorer and i doubt bayless could be no.2 but ill say bayless is fast and hes a nice dude he gos to my church sometimes as a person i like him as a player no

Bayless Is still young. He was 1 and done in college. So coming into this league of elite players and defenders of course hes gonna commit turnovers. Let him develop, Bayless has the in stinks of a scorer. And hes trying to become more like a point guard, Its kind of similar to aldridge trying to not fade away in the post. Not trying to hate on him but its just in stinks. Bayless has been improving so you guys hatin on him can at least give him that

Last season was ONLY his second season. And he didn't get consistent minutes till Blake was traded. Plus when roy was injured he stepped up. So dont act like he's not trying. He works hard like everyone else on the roster. He only averaged 17.6 minutes per game. Take his stats: And multiply it so he has starter minutes and see he is producing. so if he was averaging 34.2 minutes a game his stats would be: 3 rebounds 4.6 assist .8 steals .2 blocks. and 17 points. along with 2.6 turnovers. but andre miller averaged 2.1 turnovers and 2.6 turnovers in his career.

Help me to understand your post.  First you INCLUDE Bayless in your "garage sale", then you spend the rest of your post defending him.  By the way, the one thing I never heard from Kobe in interviews last season was how much respect he had for "garage sales" or how he circled the dates of said "garage sales" on his calendar prior to each season following the release of the schedule.

    Comparing Malone to Bayless...really?!

Bayless, a "killer from deep"?  If that were true, he wouldn't be on the trade block and the Blazers wouldn't have need for a 3 pt marksman to stretch defenses.  I DO agree that he needs to be worked with and am confident he will.  Bayless is a tireless worker, a gym rat even, as much as he is a competitor.  However, I am convinced that Portland is not the place we will see him develop.  IMO, he is and always will be a "tweener".  I am of the belief that he will develop into a "triple threat" before he will a PG, which just may be enough to earn him a spot on someone's roster for the next several years.  I wish him the best, as he is a guy who plays with "passion and pride".

Yeah but also go back and look at leading scorers when Roy was injured or who had a breakout game... Bayless. Everyone stop freaking out. I'm not saying he's the best, or even one of the five best players on the team. Just give him another year or two. thats all. I mean geez he's only 21 years old.

How did you let him off the hook so easy for putting the missing championship puzzle piece in the garage sale?!?!

Tayc, this is exactly what I mean,  Jerryd's size at 6'4" at pg is not a big deal, actually he is 6'3" anyway, he is not a killer from long range, he is not the missing championship piece and this is not NBA 2K!! Also about Karl Malone what is your point? Is it that he never won a Championship? Great example.

But to be fair, a lot of Jerryd's t.o.'s are from charges and the rest it seems because he is afraid of Nate pulling him, so he tries too hard not to mess up, instead of being free to play.
