ESPN reports Jamal Crawford will request a trade...

    Not saying he will be a Blazer... but if/when he does request a trade... is he someone we should look at? Is he an upgrade over whoever our backup PG will be? Remember, he has always been a sixth man of the year candidate

    This would be a good way to get Andre off the books while putting him in a good position to continue his above average career. He would in essence be exactly what we needed from Rudy, except Crawford isn't the type of player who has to warm himself into a game, and even his defense is somewhat of an improvement. If the money was right, I'd pull the trigger on this one.
    Only Con to this would be would he be willing to play here without an extension, and if not how much less than 10 mill would we have to pay him?

    Yeah true, I read the article a second time, and at first I didn't realize that he's already 30 years old (just a bit younger than andre), and is in the last year of a contract... so the financials on this would have to be looked at very hard... It also really depends on how much trust management and Nate would have in giving one of our young point guards (bayless, armon, or patty) a lot more minutes. It would definitely be interesting

    crawford wants to much money. and u dummys who keep saying trade lamarcus aldridge need to stop doing drugs. its not gonna happen. him and roy are the franchise and are part of the plan for the future. he wouldn't had been signed to a long term deal if he wasn't supposed to be here LONG TERM.

    While I agree with you, keep in mind that LA HAS been shopped this offseason, AND it was NOT Cho that signed him to that big contract.  There's a new sheriff in town.

    I would like to see Aldridge remain a Blazer and believe he is undervalued and underappreciated because of his obvious shortcomings.  Upgrading our starting PF spot is not as easy as many think

    I like Horford's game and the fit with this team, especially with the uncertain timetable with GO and Priz.  That would be an intriguing deal.  My concern would be the possible disruption of the chemistry that this team's core has...LA being a HUGE part of that.  IMO, this team has overachieved each of the last two seasons, largely on the strength of chemistry and character...the latter of which doesn't seem to exist in professional sports anymore AND the reason why so many of us are so proud to be Blazer fans.  Take away the chemistry, and our Blazers become an "also-ran" again.  (Bob Whitsitt anyone?)  That said though, a player (and person) like Horford, may very well have a seemless transition here.

    I think what Stotts is doing is superb. His plays are great. I remember the only play he ever called for Meyers Leonard, against the Bobcats. Great movement, got LMA a good mid range look, got Batum a decent three look and the got Meyers way down ...
