    If you were coaching this Blazers team, what would your starting and bench lineups be?  Would you have the team run like Pheonix or play the halfcourt like we're used to?  Who would you play in the 4th quarter?

    My lineup:
    PG-Miller/Bayless/Johnson
    SG-Roy/Matthews
    SF-Batum/Matthews/Cunningham
    PF-Aldridge/Camby/Pendergraph/Cunningham
    C-Oden/Camby/Przybilla

    4th Quarter Lineup:
    PG-Roy
    SG-Matthews
    SF-Batum
    PF-Aldridge
    C-Oden/Camby (depending on fouls)

    Style: Run N' Gun
    When we were playing our best basketball last year, we were running the court, getting turnovers, scoring lots of points in a small amount of time.  This is the one problem I have with McMillan's system.  We have the guys to run.  Aldridge on a fast break team like Pheonix could score 22-23 points per game.  I mean no other PF in the league can keep up with his speed.  Batum and Matthews both run well in the fast break, and both get most their jumpers by spotting up.  With Roy's ability to finish at the rim, he will demand double teams, thus kicking out to Nic or Wes for the 3. Having Oden trailing the play cutting into the lane or Camby trailing for the mid-range jumper, we can play a Pheonix style of ball.

    Until I see Pryz and Oden on the court, I can not make that decision.

     Unless the nba makes a new rule that you can put one player on anothers shoulders, if I were Nate, I would make it VERY CLEAR to management,  that the Blazers need another big man , not another pg. 

    I dont mean this to sound bad, but with all the interest in Mills speed, keep him as a mascot, and he can run fast around the Rose Garden, and not waste a roster spot sitting on the bench.  

    I have nothing against Mills, I'm just sick and tired of the pg musical chairs with pgs Nate is not going to play.

    If you have Roy, Miller, and Oden in at the same time, it will be extremely difficult to be a fast break team becauase all three of those guys florish in the half court... plus nate NEVER likes to speed up the tempo. I think we have more shooters this year than last (except maybe not after rudy leaves) with additions of babbit (although he probably wont play much), mills possibly playing more, and batum working on his jumper. I could see us being a perimiter oriented team, with bang inside with lamarcus/greg/camby... but if our perimiter shooting improves from last year we will be a force

    I don't the Blazers to become like the Suns, who waste all their energy on offense and don't have enough energy to play decent defense for an entire game.  I do, however, agree that the Blazers at least need to LOOK for a fast break opportunity more often and take more chances.  Andre did an excellent job of that last season, particularly taking advantage of Aldridge's speed, which, as you said, no other PF in the league can match.  When Andre wasn't running the point, it seemed like we weren't even looking to run.  When Roy's at the point, I think it's up to our bigs to give him good outlet passes that will lead him to around halfcourt, possibly getting to our hoop before the defense does. 

    Here's my starting five:
    PG-Andre Miller
    SG-Brandon Roy
    SF-Nic Batum
    PF-L.A.
    C- Marcus Camby

    Matthews is the sixth man, coming in to replace either Nic or Brandon later in the first quarter.  The only reason I have Camby starting over Oden is because I doubt Oden will be ready to go by the start of the season.  He should undoubtedly start when he's healthy.

    If I were Nate, I would hire an offensive coordinator.

    If I were Nate M. I would run this exact same. He is a great coach! He should have been coach of the year. He got robbed! He has a DEFENSIVE system his offense is mainly let the players play their ball. he coached this team to 53 wins thats a great job and he need to keep it up. GO BLAZERS! 10-11 CHAMPS

    If the thread said Babbitt beat some brothers you all would be expecting a hate crime. I do not see why this is a big deal. Police beat their wives daily and we do not have a thread about that and that is a real issue plaguing society.
