For a while it was talked about CP3 coming to Portland, than it was a second rate PG such as Collison, now that he's a out of the question I don't know who else we are talking about becoming the next player to support our own big four. But one player has recently come to mind that has been in our grasp all this time...Petteri Koponen. From what I have seen from him play I think he has the potential to become Portland's answer at the Point. He is an excellent passer, fast, a good three-point shooter, and has an overall PG mentality. Just thinking about how he could help this young, talented Blazer team gets me excited.

    These videos should help:

    So...

Koponen as our next great point guard...?

    Some food for thought.

Here's the problem. All these videos are from 2007. He's played the last 3 years as part of Virtus Bologna in Italy as a back up to Earl Boykins. I think that is funny that him and Batum hooked up for that sweet oop at the Hoop Summit, which happened to be in, oh yeah, Portland. I think he has the potential to be a Dragic type player, but I need to see something current. The guy was supposed to be really good, then he served his mandatory 2 years as part of the Finish Army and we haven't heard much from him since. Last summer I posted a video of an interview with him and begged the question, is he the illegitimate son of Jean Claude Vand Damme? If that is the most recent video we can find, then I have a hard time not taking someone already in the league over him.

But in 2007, he was really good ;)   Is his foot healed ?  How will his game translate ?  I'm not sold on PK yet.

I guess Blazer fans are going to have to see AJ play before they realize the diamond in the rough  the Blazers drafted this summer. We have waited this long ( four years and counting ) for the next great pgotf , why not give the rookie a shot too ??

Anyone who draws comparison to GP , deserves a change in my book. Although he is much bigger in the upper body than GP ever was.  I want to see his defense on Rondo, Rose and Westbrook.

I've come to the conclusion that the PGOTF is an urban legend :)

Yeah, I think Portland may continue to be the team of the PG's of today or PG's of Yesterday type team as long as the rest of the team is as talented as it looks like it will be this season.

Or Shane Larkin ? This kid is 5''11" with a 44" vertical. Absolutely lighting it up for Miami.

although I do think that eraser head haircut is a little rediculous and outdated but none the less kid could either be huge or a complete bust and at this point if we had that number 1 pick I wouldn''t pass on him then I''d go out and get someone ...

Yeah It would be a good deal for them but who Olshey isnt reading this haha. If we can do this trade to start our off season we would be in great shape.

Rip a cap hold is a number given to free agents. Basically the cap hold is added to the teams salaries at the start of free agency. So for example a team has 10 million in cap space but has 15 million in cap holds they are technically over the sal...

Noel was playing at around 220 so I doubt the added weight will slow him down too much the guy just needs to continue his rehab and hit the weight room and he will be fine.

As long as he stops pulling the ball down in the post I will be happy nothing more annoying than watching that happen several times a game

Dont see how we can get a starting defensive center. I will be very impressed if Olshey can find one

Paul Allen might sell the Blazers but the Blazers will never leave Rip City.
