    Does anyone know what is going on with Patty Mills? He played some great ball for Australia in the past few weeks and played well in the Summer League as well...

    I think we should just send Rudy packing and sign Patty!!!

    On the subject of Rudy... if he decides he want out of the NBA and takes a 2 year break does that create a spare roster spot or is it just bad luck for the Blazers?

    not sure how that works, i would think if a player opts out of playing he wouldnt get paid for breaking their contract?

    Yeah thats what I would think...

    Trading Rudy for a future 1st round pick would be the way to go.... That would free up a roster spot to sign Patty!!

    From what I understand, Rudy would be opting not to play which results in an unpaid suspension. It does not result, however, in an open roster spot. The contract would have to go before an arbitrator and become voided allowing Rudy free to go wherever and Portland to be free of his contract.

    Im not impressed with Gortat. Everyone wants him but he seems mediorcre to me. He is the most realistic option since all it would take is the 10th pick, but I think he is old and declining.
