    From the Portland Tribune-
Porter played his college ball from 1981-85. He took part in three NAIA national championship tournaments. He was an NAIA All-American twice and in 1984 was the Chuck Taylor Tournament MVP and an NAIA player-of-the-year honoree. He went on to play 17 years in the NBA, helping the Blazers to two NBA finals and making it to the NBA All-Star game twice. The Blazers retired his jersey in 2008.

Congrats guys! Amazing at what diamonds in the rough those guy were. I guess it's true, no matter where you play, the scouts will find you!

For myself, a couple of moments stand out for each.
Porter was tough to nail down just one memory as my favorite, because he was such an integral part of thsoe three amazing teams, but it had to be his play against John Stockton in the 92 WCF. He was sensational, easily the best Trail Blazer on the court over the course of the series and took the wind out of the Jazz's sails early and often.

For Pippen, it was two memories. The first had to be the game-winning three to defeat the Jazz in Game 5 of the Western Semis to put us back into the WCF for the 2nd straight year. The other was his game 5 performance against the Lakers in the WCF when he busted out his championship rings to inspire the guys to battle back from down 1-3 in the series against LA.

It was Game 4 of the 1992 Western Conference Semis in Phoenix with the Trail Blazers holding a 2-1 series lead. Down 3 in the closing minutes, TP takes Kevin Johnson hard to the rack, puts up the lay-up, takes the body contact and nails the And-1. Tie Game. Portland ended up going on to win one of the highest scoring playoff games in history, 153-151, and eventually wrapping up the series in 5.

For Pip it was the entire 2000 WCF. The jawing back and forth with Rock Fox and Phil Jackson, the throwing of the towels after the Game 3 loss at home, and just taking the leadership role and getting us oh so close to our 1st championship since 77. He definitely upped his level of play for that series.

First off Damian- Jack will make a lot more than 4 million next year. At minimum he will get a couple MLE offers starting at 5.15 million. Tony Allen will also get many MLE offers so to sign either will take at least 6 million probably closer to 8...

Unholy your failing to account for a few things. One Tony Allen has significantly outplayed his 3.3 million a year contract. He will get several MLE offers which starts at 5.15 million. So if you want him it will take at least that much probably m...

Rookies are fine a team should be able to carry 5 of them easily. The problem with us last year was we had no depth in front of the rookies. Lillard and Leonard as lottery picks should have gotten lots of playing time, which they did. However, Bar...

Rip the Larry Sanders trade would happen on draft day so people would already know we fixed out biggest weakness. Then once free agency begins its up to LA, Lillard, Stotts, Olshey and Paul Allen to lure people here. It becomes a lot easier to con...

Thanks Ricky.   I''ll be watching @ 10.   Haven''t seen enough right hand from Shazamm.   Without the ability to take his defender either way off the bounce, let alone finish at the cup with either hand?   Second rounder at best.
