Most of the players taken during the 2010 NBA Draft are in New Jersey for the annual NBA Rookie Transitions program. Basically it's a few days of classes schooling young'ins on all of the do's and don't (mostly don'ts) associated with life in the NBA.

There's all kinds of other activities in between classes on how not to blow your first paycheck and why street racing through the suburbs might not be the best idea, which results in the guys all being in the same place at the same time, sometimes without much to do. Impromptu on-court activities are sometimes a result of that downtime, as was the case a few days ago. In a twitvid posted by the folks at the NBA, various players can be seen trying to get a few basketballs out of a net, with varying degrees of success.

Elliot Williams can be seen standing around, mind his own business, when at the 0:14 second mark, Lance Stephenson comes into frame and attempts to jump over Williams, with no success whatsoever. Williams stumbles out of the way, and looks to grab his stomach before the camera pans away. He doesn't seem any worse for wear, but it's still a jerk move by Stephenson, IMO.

Stephenson isn't the sharpest tool in the shed, so this move isn't surprising. Blazer fans are especially touchy  when it comes to potential injuries after being so injury riddled. The last thing we want is for another set-back. The fact that it would be a non-game injury would make it that much worse to handle.

I was a little surprised to see Stephenson there given some of the ... difficulties he's having right now.

I think he was just goofing off,  not really a jerk move. It's funny when someone does something wrong, all of a sudden people see him in a new light and everything he does is relative to what happened, even if it isn't.
And there's two NEW "don'ts" this year:
    1. Don't push your girl down any stairs!
    2. Don't let known pot heads film you for an unknown video without at least asking what the artistic vision of the video is! Even if they are homies.

i can easily see that guy out of the nba in a few years as he continues to make mistake after mistake after mistake... he is extremely immature. its a shame too because the guy has talent and good size to add to it. but no wonder why larry bird made the trade to get collison. he knows this guy stephenson is no where near ready to lead.

I unfortunately have to admit that I was the tail end of similar situations of this in grade school where some guy thought it would be funny to show off and use me as a prop without my consent. It isn't just goofing off because someone else is affected by it. It is a selfish move, he didn't think it through and he almost injured another player. Immature, selfish, and rude. Nice guys seem to end up on the tail end of those because we usually will keep our mouths shut in hopes Karma will take care of the rest.

Cmeese, like you said, per 48 is only good for someone playing at least 30 minutes, so you can''t use his 30 min season, and compare it to his 20 minute seasons. And all those previous seasons, Nic was purely a catch and shoot guy, and had plays c...

Can he do anything else? Can he actually play his position? Handling the ball is well and good, but he firsts needs to be able to play his position. Rebound, and play D. Until he can do that, don''t take him. This is why I think Nerlens Noel won''...

I don''t like Dwight, but he''s a top center in the league. I say top not thee top because I''d easily pick Marc Gasol, Joakim Noah, and maybe even Roy Hibbert over him.
