I didn't know colleges had NBA 2k9 clubs.
    Who knew you knew anything?
I doubt your extra curricular activities include anything but your PC.
Btw, you look like ShortRound in that picture, and im on the verge of calling you that. its been bugging me for days.

You should just change it to Toms picture from  his myspace.

Or is it a mac? you seem like a mackie

Geez now you are an internet stalker too?

I hate macs. They are an overpriced trend that aren't worth it unless you are serious about graphic design or something similar. PC hardware is usually way ahead of macs and way cheaper, even if its the exact same thing... like hard drives. But I like mr mackey mmmkay. You obviously are a bad judge of character and personality.
You seem like a trendy Iphone douche.

I also bet you don't make the team due to your lack of basketball iq. ha ha

It sucks because i have a predisposition to feeding trolls. I can't help it. And you definitely are a troll. And a stalker.

*SPOILER ALERT* RUINING THIS GAME's little surprise

    2k11 is soooo sick.

the surprise is that when game loads up you don't have a choice, you go straight to game 1 of the 91 finals...wish it were 92 finals but nonetheless you getta the Horace grant, paxson, cartwright (and of course jordan pippen) bulls, against the Worthy Divac Magic Johnson Lakers. I left around halftime but it was pretty awesome. All i've had time to do is create a PGOTF...tried to make him a defensive, pass first pg, and he kinda sucks, but its still fun.

For you shoe fans, theres (I think) 50 unlockable shoes.

fast breaks are harder, playing the passing lanes harder, and they finally call moving picks (a lot on rookies), so this game is better than last year. True test is how glitchy team play hosts are, haven't had a chance to test that out, I'm sure association is just as sick as well, wish the blazers got a little bit more love, but funny enough they have Patty Mills slotted as the backup pg with a strong 66 skill.

The only problem I have had with 2k games is watching as my opponent grabs a ball through the rim and pulls it down through and no goaltending call.   However in the recent years it has dissipated If you were to give it a critical review how would it be? and are there trophies/acheivements?
I am a fan of competing til the final buzzer!!!!!!!!!!

    I'd give it a 9.5 out of 10

They made most aspects of the game better, revamping every nook and cranny of this game it seems, and the only thing not working this year upon release is the MY CREW (again) function, which is fine, with a game this revolutionary things are bound not to work at release, last year half of the stuff didn't work at release it seemed.
There's three main forms of this game, Association Mode (online and offline franchises), Team up (online only), and Headsup (online or offline).

Association is sweet as always, no real need to go into this one as I haven't tried the online version, but offline is sick as always. Let's just say it's not as hard to trade away rudy on a video game.

Teamup is a lot tougher, I played a few games last night with a friend, everyone was averaging a teamate grade of C or worse, but it's still fun. This year the only way you can choose your own team in teamup is if you do MY CREW, so I don't know what its like to dominate with my friends while I play Andre Miller or Aldridge, but it's nice to be forced (even more than last year) to play all the teams in teamup, and not just see Heat vs Lakers all season. Again if you have to play your own team, my crew will be good for that. One of my favorite things they added so far is when you finish a good game of Teamup, you go back into another game lobby with the same people. This should stop a lot of the hosting errors that constantly kept you from getting a couple god games in in a row.

Quickgame or headsup. It's only been out ofr a day and I'm working the rest of the week...so I haven't checked out everything, but so far the thing that pisses me off about this, is that you can't use the classic teams online from what I can tell. Also has anyone else figured out how to change to the classic stadiums?

    i love basketball shoes.
    and i love association mode.
My 2k9 trailblazers are on their way to 4th championship, i think its like 2012, undefeated for like 2 and half years.
Its funny, since its a video game, i like to get some crazy people omn the team, like odom, and Iggy, but i come on here and say that i cant stand andre miller, like at all with portland, but he's been on my team for a while, i traded to get him, and idk why but ive never gotten rid of him. wiERD

I'm probably not into it as much as you guys as I really like 1st person shooters, real time strategy, action and sometimes role playing games better, but this game is pretty cool so far. Graphics are pretty sweet, I just wish I could dunk it more often and the would go where I tell them to instead of kind of going where i want!! But the AI is getting so much better, its pretty amazing. I am playing it on my pc and I don't have the 360 controller, I have the cordless rumblepad 2 and I have no idea what buttons they are saying to press! I hate that. Comcast and Microsoft just love to make things way more complicated just for a few xtra bucks.

Ya getting the ball inside to your Bigs or trying to dunk in general without knowing can be tough, but I figured out a few post moves with aldridge, he's got a sick spin to the basket tomahawk dunk i can do.

Now that NBA 2K11 has officially launched, the fam at 2K Sports have released the official launch trailer for all of you that haven’t gone to pickup your game yet. In case you had any reservations, let them subside – to the tune of Big Boi’s “Shutterbugg.”

I'm talking about being wide open and doing a stupid layup! Yesterday I pump faked Jason Richardson with Roy on the three point line and JRich jumped in the air so I went around him and somehow he inexplicably came from behind me and got in front of me again before I made it to the hoop!!! So I couldn't throw it down, and the stupid thing did a fade away and bricked it. I was extremely pissed off! I also hate that whenever I bring the ball up no one ever cuts to the hoop, they just stand around and if by some miracle someone does cut through near the basket I'll pass it to them and they do this stupid gigantic hop jump to catch the ball, and then end up out past the 3 point line!!!! That's ok for Roy and Batum, but not for Oden, Camby and Pryz!!!

I also noticed that Steve Nash looks way bigger than Andre!!! I remember never thinking that when they played each other, so I looked them up and Nash is 6'3" 178lbs, and though Andre is a mere inch shorter, he outweighs Nash by 22 pounds at 200lbs. So I think 2k messed that up a bit.

But even with all that, it's still better than NBA Live and from what I've played in Elite.

As far as the Nash Andre comparison...I'd say not sweat the small stuff, at least they recognized this year that aldridge is better from 12-16 feet than he is around the basket.

The gameplay changes every year to keep stuff competitive, if you want to get your big men involved this year you have to post up and try getting them the ball in other ways besides getting an easy (unrealistic) pass to a cutting big man who's running right through a couple people. It's not so easy to get assists this year as last, which i'm starting to like. If you haven't bought the game, and are a previous 2k player, don't expect to be any good at this game from the start. They actually didn't lie when they said they totally revamped the controls, the AI has changed dramatically.

I'm not as high on realism as you guys I guess. I mean if you ever played Far Cry 2 you would know that there is a certain point where they can overdo the realism and add all these annoying things that you just don't want in a damn video game! Also you say it is unrealistic to have a big guy cutting to the basket, except the cpu seems to do it to me all the time. Regardless, to me it is unrealistic that someone (especially a big) who has NO BODY on him and NO BODY between him and the basket does not cut to the hoop! That is what I was talking about. Also I hate that the cpu always catches up to me when I get a breakaway steal somehow, that is not realistic to me either. The Dre/Nash thing is annoying because I can't post up Nash in 2k, but Dre could post him up all day long if he wanted. Also when they show the players and especially the coaches, it always looks like they are crazy because they are looking up at a weird angle and talking to themselves. ha ha ha I wish it would just make them not talk because that looks so ridiculous.

I know it is a pretty vast game with a lot of data, so of course not everything will be perfect. I admit I am not a great 2k player, I just started with 2k10 only a few months ago. I guess i could go in and change all the game play settings and the ratio of dunks to layups, but that gets boring real fast. Overall though, it is still way better than any Live game, and from what I played on the Elite demo.

The posting up is all to do with Offensive Post skill and something else i believe, height/weight should have very little to do with it in this game, and skills will be updated during the season, which is why I'm in no hurry to do association yet until they update the rosters.  I didn't mean to say a big man cutting ot the basket was unrealistic, I meant the percentage of success when throwing through a crowd into a cutting player is more realistic this year.

As far as AI goes, they do more on their own in my player mode and teamup, when you don't have direct control over them. But when your just doing regular quickmatches you have to call some plays to get them moving, try calling isolation, pick and roll, and Post up, they are the easiest three to run, but from what I've gathered in one day it seems this year they want us to call more plays  and run more halfcourt sets (especially with the blazers), and not get away with doing a bunch of fast breaks off makes.

    From DIME-
Now that the game has dropped, it’s time to dive deeper into this year’s “My Player” mode of NBA 2K11 which allows you to shape your player’s personality based on how you answer questions in postgame press conferences. Watch as comedian Deon Cole tries making friends with David Lee and Rajon Rondo.
