My neighboor heard this on the radio in Atlanta:
    Aldridge+Fernandez for Horford+Marvin Williams.

    Do you like it?

i hope you know that al horfords true position is at PF. Who along with Greg Oden would make a very a hard nosed front court.

I see this as nothing as a rumour because frankly horford is an all star already with aldridge yet to prove that status

Yeah I Know. Horford is already an All-Star,but the East is weaker in PFs than the West. On the East Aldridge would be an All-Star too.

Its more than fair talent wise but as much criticism as Aldridge gets, his ability to shoot outside is a more than perfect fit along side Oden. Also, what do we do with Marvin? Now, our log jam moved one position from SG to SF.

I look at this trade as a Aldridge for Horford and Fernandez for Williams.  I love Horford's game as a true power forward.  As much as I like Aldridge I think it would be a good trade for both teams.

I dont know if it would create a log jam at small forward since i think williams can play power forward well too and could just be horfords backup.  If we were to do this trade though i would try to give them cunningham or pendergraph and one of our rookie gaurds or babbitt since they would still have too much depth at pg, sf, pf, and center.  i hope that this trade does happen though because horford is a huge improvement defensively over aldridge and williams is like 4 times better than rudy.  Also with oden and horford in the same lineup, and with camby, pryzbilla, and williams coming off the bench,  that would make a pretty formidable frontcourt.

Horford, Oden, Camby, and Williams can all score pretty effectively in the low post.  also Horford and Williams are both 24 years old so they can still be very effective for the next 8-10 years unless they have some terrible injury or something.

The trade machine isn't very realistic because the teams could include draft picks, euro players, or cash considerations to make it work financially

I would LOVE to see a deal like this go down.  I don't see Atlanta wanting this as it would leave them VERY thin in the post.  We all know the block is not LA's strong suit.  Adding Horford would mean sacrificing some length, but I believe we would still be more than adequate in that department.  Good egg too.

Has anyone else been listening to Cho?!  Seriously!  At least a half a dozen times in the last couple of weeks, I've heard him say in various interviews that he may make a trade to help set up ANOTHER trade, or to "help make it possible to bring in another player".  He calls this tactic, "layering".  Please everybody, PLEASE let's remember this when (if) something DOES come down the information super highway that, at face value, we don't understand.  PLEASE!  Patience...

I like this deal but Aldridge will be hard to give up. If i were the GM i would use Marvin Williams in another deal to get maybe Devin Harris? Just an idea.

If atlanta actually offers the blazers a deal like this one or the one abarrer mentined the blazers should take it.  Williams and crawford are both way better than rudy, and apparently rudy is now saying he will refuse to play if the blazers keep him.  So at this point the blazers should take whatever they can get for him.  Esspecially if the deal includes players of Horford, williams or crawfords caliber, even if it does meen giving away L.A.  I dont see this deal happening but I hope it does.

dude horford is better than aldridge.  I like L.A. and think he has been a huge part of our success so far but he is kind of weak on the defensive side  while horford is definantly not.  Also the only way Horford is worse than lamarcus on offense is he has less range on his jumper.  Horford is also way tougher and throws down some sick dunks so that would be awesome if the blazers got him.  Also to swap rudy for someone like jamal crawford or marvin williams would be awesome.  Both of them are way better than rudy.  even if the blazers do have to give away a few extra players like dre or dante they should pull the trigger on this deal.

Yeah i agree with cransford that horford is better then aldridge. Plus your stupid if you think that just because LA is gone then the blazers chances of a championship is gone. I would love to see horford in Portland. But we all know that, that's not going to happen.

This trade would never happen because LA is a perfect fit for Oden, Camby or Pryzbilla. Portland needs a stretch 4 who can knock down jumpers and draw other big men out the paint so that Oden can put in work. Marvin Williams is not better than Batum or Matthews. Matter of fact I would rather have Martell Webster over Marvin Williams. All Horford would do is clog the lane up for Greg Oden and you could not play Al at the same time with Pryzbilla or Camby.

I know that Portland has been and continue to be VERY AGGRESIVE this off-season trying to improve this team BUT THIS WILL NEVR HAPPEN.

Valid point, but im not sure if it is entirely true that two similar style big men can not play on the same team.   The Lakers had Gasol and Bynum in the same lineup and both of them get the majority of their points in the paint.  It is true that gasol does possess a very good mid range jumper but he doesnt use it a ton and does most of his damadge inside.  Plus it would be the same with Horford.  His short/mid range jumper is above average for most centersso he could stretch the floor and use his jumper frm time to time.  But I agree that this trade would never happen although I believe the reason for that is more that Atlanta would not be willing to give up Williams and Horford since those are two of their best players.

I don't agree either that Lamarcus is a better fit just because he has no inside game. I think this trade won't happen, not because Lamarcus is a "great fit for Oden" but because Atlanta wouldn't be that stupid.

Im not impressed with Gortat. Everyone wants him but he seems mediorcre to me. He is the most realistic option since all it would take is the 10th pick, but I think he is old and declining.
