Espn had a penal of voters who decided who would be the team with the most turmoil this upcoming season, and the  winner was the Minnesota Timberwolves. I'm so glad those days are behind us.

I realize it seems questionable to brazenly flout the "best player available" maxim by drafting Wesley Johnson over DeMarcus Cousins, and then immediately duplicating Johnson's skill set by trading the 16th pick for Martell Webster.

It's strange to trade Al Jefferson, the team's best player over the past three seasons, for two draft picks, and then bring in Michael Beasley to replace him as your go-to scorer. And even stranger to sign two Serbian centers for a grand total of $34 million over the next four seasons, especially when one of them is named Darko Milicic.

And maybe you're also amused and/or exhausted by the knowledge that in the first year of Kahn's tenure, the Wolves have acquired no fewer than seven point guards, some of them more than once (although, to his credit, not all at the same time).

And that teenage prodigy Ricky Rubio -- the fifth pick in the '09 draft and maybe the best player of all of those PGs -- currently runs game in Barcelona with no guarantee of ever setting foot in Minnesota.

Things get weirder. In a painfully awkward televised interview with Chris Webber, Kahn defended his record by detailing the renovation of the players lounge at Target Center and then obliquely comparing Darko to Webber and Vlade Divac (C-Webb was not amused). A few days later, Kahn called Webber a "schmuck" on the radio. Minutes later, he casually revealed Beasley's history of marijuana use; this information, while not exactly a well-kept secret, did happen to be, by league rule, confidential. Speaking of "not amused," the NBA fined the team 100 grand.

I personally think this award will go to the Nuggets, but the Wolves will be so bad that no one will even notice if they get out of line.

Man Chris Webber doesnt know much man.....
But the Twolves, wow. Unexpected, the whole beasly for jefferson trade, really was like a self mutilation move, cutting off one of their own limbs there.
And im sure they feel like i do, whats the D on Darko, like, this guy was the 1st guy drafted after LeBron, 2nd overall, and still he's just an average player. I honestly am seeing this in a different way, with Kevin Love, Michael BeasTly, and Darko, what i see is trouble for anyone else in the paint, on offense or D. Granted they're like the most random 3 guys to be together on a team, but if they connect together i could see alot of trouble coming down from the North.

I feel bad for Martell, having to play on that team. Team will be going nowhere fast.

@DHawes:  I'm incredibly grateful that the days of the Blazers' being one of the worst teams in the league are over.  It made it really hard to be a fan when your best players were selfish pot-heads who didn't know how to communicate on and off the floor, resulting in very few wins.  I am so proud of our current team, and I'm glad you reminded of how bad we were just a few short years ago.

With the exception of maybe Wesley Matthews [ the jury is still out] the Blazers have not, as they used to do in the past, paid anyone on the potential of what they may become. We have a nice squad. Sometimes to nice. Other than a true pg, we also need a Mcnasty type cat on the boards. is Pendergraph that guy ? Mentally, yes. Has it translated to his game. No. We need to turn it up a notch on D at every position.

Tony Allen is not leaving the Grizzlies to come to that mess of a team. O''neal is too damn old. Alan Anderson is a scrub. Jarret Jack would be a nice pick up as he adds some toughness and another ball handler but his cost is too high with the tea...
