No this is not a typo. An ESPN columnist gave a vote to Oden for 2011 NBA MVP.

Also receiving votes: Greg Oden (1), Derrick Rose (1)
If he puts up numbers like he did in November, he'll definitely be on the short list of candidates this season!

With where Greg's ceiling is, and just how quickly he has shown he can get there, I really don't think MVP is THAT out of the question.  With Oden, it's just a matter of what fate has in store for him.  It's not a matter of talent, and certainly not a matter of impact.  A healthy GO, playing 65-plus games, WILL be impactful and WILL be a candidate.  IMO, this team led by Greg and Roy, is capable of a 54-55 win season, with the current roster as it stands

sorry but that is just stupid of you guys to consider greg oden a possible mvp candidate.  He hasnt even proven that he can play more than 30 minutes per game without fouling out and also has never played in more than 65 games in a season. there is absolutely no way that he will even be close o as good as real mvp candidates like kobe and durant next year.  i do think he will improve next year, but to call him a possible mvp candidate is absolutely ridiculous.
I am a fan of the Blazers draft selections. Feels good to finally be able to say that

Nice Idea but I think the TWolves trade is very lobsided in our favor

Derrick Williams and Budinger are proven players in the league. Claver and Freeland are not

Hawes was playing nice this season and would be a good pick up imo ...

Bosh in Toronto was better than Lamarcus

I would take Lamarcus over Bosh right now

I love the Grit and Grind, and I love the Spurs timeless play. I think if the Spurs get to the finals, they will beat the heat, but they won''t beat the Grizzlies easily, and the Grizz can''t beat the Heat. I know it''s weird.
