I don't know if you guys heard about any rumors that have circulated about the NFL having a player lockout next season, but a few of their players may have heard otherwise.
Brandon Marshall, who last season threw infamous temper tantrums during last seasons summer camps for Denver was traded during the off season to where else do superstars go? MIAMI!
Marshall signed with the Dolphins earlier this summer but has had his own speculation about the leagues future, and his own...

     http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=5459355

Now Brandon may be one of the biggest guys on the field, but on the court, he would fall two inches short of our shining star Brandon Roy. I have always thought that if LeBron wanted to go back to football he would make a killer Tight End of Full Back, just a beast.
Marshall is a stunning 6' 4, 240lbs, in the NFL, but over here things are kind of different, so what i want to know from you guys is....

What do you think of Marshall maybe coming to the NBA?
                and
Who do you think would do well from the NFL in the NBA?
From the NBA to the NFL???

I could see a lot of NFL players heading to the D-league for a year during a lockout, athleticsm transcends all sports except nascar and poker....and fishing or hunting...

Sports could be a complete bummer in 2011-2012 if both the NBA and NFL hold lockouts...here's hoping no stoppage of play occurs.

I don't think any NFL players could hoop. It takes a different type of athlete to play ball. T.O. supposedly one of the best football players at basketball, really is barely DLeague material.  While the NFL is all about speed, the NBA has more intangibles to it. Players need to be crafty to get their shot off or go to the hoop. Similarly, not many ball players could go to the NBA. LeBron is the one name that jumps out in my mind because he's got the height and the weight to go along with the speed.

Tight Ends and most skills players could play basketball at the d-league level, not thrive but they could at least play, and most importantly sell tickets and create hype for a league that's starting to gain momentum.

Tony Gonzalez played bball on a cal team that went to the sweet 16. In high school his sr. year he shared Orange County Athlete of the Year with Tiger Woods. Once I went and stayed with some friends at a frat house at Cal (waaay back in the day). I was feeling pretty rough one morning and some a holes were playing basketball right outside my window at about 7 am on a Saturday. I was like WTH!?!?! Then I looked out the window and saw that monster throwing it down. Needless to say I shut my mouth. It's hard to imagine someone that huge with that much talent and athletisism not being able to do just about anything he wanted to.

I could see the "Big Shamrock" lining up at center on both the hardwood and the gridiron, though I wouldn't want to be opposite him on the line of sacrifice...I mean, scrimmage!  His 7' frame may hinder his QB's vision downfield however.  He would be the "Fridge" AND the "Freezer".

In reality though, with each of the two sports requiring such differing sets of physical tools to be successful, I don't see any athlete being able to do both...at least not at the professional level.  LeBinky with his physical gifts, maybe, but beyond him...noone

(want to copywrite "LeBinky", though I can't imagine I'm the first to think of it)  :)

WTF do you call Tim Duncan. The dude is arguably the best PF in NBA history, I guess I did not realize that all this time he was making first team all NBA ballots that he was not a superstar.

The rules limit the effectiveness of defenders these days Blaser. Lebron would win defensive player of the year every year if he could hand check people and hold on to his man like the old days.

Wow some serious high hopes for JJ there.

@Cailin Isn''t a little ironic that the Heat are on pace to win a second straight NBA title despite being the worst rebounding team statistically in the NBA this season.

I would trade the pick, the team is in rebuild mode and I am not sure Burke is the guy I really want on my team. Since my team needs a PG a PF and maybe a SG depending on how they feel about Afflalo still.

Considering that is the only aggressive thing he has ever done in his life, it is not likely he will do anything. Maybe if he did I might respect him more. But its alright enjoy your higher ticket prices to pay this joker 11 million a year.

Right now, the most realistic is Asik. If Houston pursue D12, sign and trade JJ and a couple second round picks, maybe Joel Freeland or somebody for Asik.
