In an NBA TV segment, Craig Sager and Chris Webber are liking the Blazers to challenge and ruin the Lake show three peat.

Nice to see that Portland is amongst the conversation when it comes to the top teams in the West and in the NBA. I think everyone in rip city is looking forward to seeing what a healthy Portland team is capable of, especially since we won as many games as we did walking wounded...

I am a fan of seeing an uptempo Blazers squad!

Thanks for the link!  I had heard about what was said, but hadn't SEEN it.  Weber has always liked Portland.  Sir Charles...not so much.  Sager was in town working the TNT Denver game last season, and WOW!  Talk about someone needing help with their wardrobe!  Blazer fans remember their team being the only group that CONSISTENTLY gave the Lakers problems last year...in particular, here in Portland.  Kobe has eluded to feeling the warm breath of this franchize on the back of his neck.  He's right

It's always nice to see the Blazers get some of the respect ehy deserve from th national media. Here's hoping the team can stay healthy enopugh to deliver this year, cuz if they do, lookout LA! ;)

Even with the loss of Blake and Outlaw the Blazers are still a very deep team. Outlaw was let go because of Cunningham who is a better defender and hopefully his offense will round into shape........he looked great in the summer league. If he can continue to knock down those 17-18 ft jumpers he will get alot of minutes.
Hopefully Rudy will be gone by the time the season starts but if the Blazers can only get the Johnson kid, they should not trade Rudy. Johnson and Cunningham do the same things on the court so that is kinda pointless if you ask me.

Finally, if the Blazers truly want to contend with the Big boys in the west (Lakers and Spurs) they will have to get a starting PG who fits them because Andre Miller simply does not cut it.

Tony Allen is not leaving the Grizzlies to come to that mess of a team. O''neal is too damn old. Alan Anderson is a scrub. Jarret Jack would be a nice pick up as he adds some toughness and another ball handler but his cost is too high with the tea...
