As you all know, the NBA is releasing their nationally televised schedule today for the opening week and major holidays and the entire schedule next Tuesday, the 10th. Just like in recent years, the Trail Blazers have their fair share of games on TV to impress the rest of the nation.

    Highlights:
10/27 Portland at Los Angeles Clippers ESPN 10:30 p.m.
11/1 Portland at Chicago NBA TV 8 p.m.
12:25 Portland at Golden State ESPN 10:30 p.m.

That's pretty nice to get two nationally televised games during the first week as well as another Christmas game, which will be our 4th in a row. It looks like the NBA still views us as a team on the rise!

I'm definitely a little sad to see the home Christmas game go away, because it was turning into a family tradition to take the family to the game, but at least we can stay at home watch it together! Also, is Blazers/Warriors not the oddest Christmas day pairing in recent memory? I hope we can break through in the Bay on Christmas as their house has not treated us very kindly as of late.

As for the opening season, it doesn't look like it will be a cake walk at all, and I like it. With rumors swirling that we open against Phoenix (which looks like it'll be after the road trip since Wednesday is the 27th, Saturday the 30th is the rumored Knicks game, and we don't play on TNT Thursday night on the 28th) and playing the Knicks on the 30th, the Blazers will have to take care of business on the road and fast. I must say, I do love getting the Knicks and Bulls early on, because they haven't had time to get their new players in sync yet. So it looks like the early road trip includes, Clippers, Knicks (rumored), and Bulls. I hope we can sneak in a game against the Wizards, Sixers, or Nets to lighten that load up a bit.

So would our home opener be between those road games... or not until early november?

    AZCentral had this tidbit-
According to NBA sources, the Suns will open the regular season Oct. 26 at Portland, its first-round playoff victim last season, and will play their home opener Oct. 29 against the Los Angeles Lakers, who defeated the Suns in the Western Conference finals.

So maybe we open up on Tuesday the 26th, then go to LAC for the 27th, then the rumored game on Sat. the 30th at NY, then the confirmed 11/1 game at Chicago. It definitely would be weird to be scheduled on opening Tuesday but not get on national television. I guess we'll find out Tuesday...

The problem with JJ remains the same at the 4 or 5 he is just not a good enough defender. Milsap and especially Smith are good defenders. The also both offer more on the offensive side than JJ does.

Exactamundo. Seriously though, both of you''ll are right. The blame should be placed on the attacker, not Lillard. That being said, Dame should have stepped in.

Sanders is 6''11" Cailin he is about 5 pounds lighter than LA so his size should not be an issue.

I completely agree. Pierce would bring a culture change. And we as a team really needed someone to help our young players through the tough times. Jeffires and Pavlovic were veterans who didn''t see much court time and from what I saw didn''t real...

Joakim Noah has had his injury troubles. His crazy game and high energy make him a constant injury threat. What separates him from Oden and Rose (I had to just mention him) is his willingness to play the way he loves.
