    Is anyone else concerned with Joel and his status, we can still use his brute body up front. I haven't heard much other then he is hiding out in Minnesota. he is equally important, or has been as Oden is.I know he is getting older and the knee injury  doesn't help, but he was never a finesse player. Unlike players who rapidly decline when their athleticism fades he should still be a quality backup. Look at Ol' Fab 5, Juwan howard.

    well said! Last I heard Oden is ahead of schedule, slimming down, and will be ready for training camp no doubt as someone said in another post. I heard Joel was on schedule, lets hope its true. Gotta love the vanilla gorilla! He's a good tough presence down low and can hit the defensive and offensive boards really well. Always gives 100%

    I'm not a bit concerned about Joel, he has proved he is a warrior.  I don't think it is if he plays, I think it's when.

    Kim, I hope you are right!!!  Would love to see him back in action sooner than later AND in a Blazer jersey!!  Although, Im not so sure we will still have him. :-/
    I am a fan of the Blazers once again, rising above all odds and injuries!

    I don't question Joel's tenacity or determination to get back onto the court. He's got the heart of the warrior, rather I worry about what the injury did to his legs. Can he regain his quick jumping ability he relies on so heavily? That is the $1 million question.

    I think Joel will be just fine if given the opportunity, that's just it though will he be given that chance again.
