    We have not had a true leader, (a Batman not a Robin) on our team since the championship days. This, more than any other reason, has prevented us in the past from winning more games, more playoff series and maybe even a championship.Chris Paul is a true leader.And because of this, much more so than his stats,we should try to make him our starting point guard.Ultimately it could overshadow all the other major transactions that have gone on this summer.For if it happens, Paul's addition to the Trailblazers could lead to several championships.Which is more than can be said about any other individual player changing teams.Paul,Roy,Batum,Aldridge and Oden(or Camby) undoubtedly would be the best starting five in the league and in our team"s history.We would go from being the league's most balanced team to the league's most balanced team of all time.But above all, we would have that leader, that missing piece(at point guard no less)that's been missing for many many years, that's necessary for any championship team.

    I agree with you. As much as people say "One guy doesn't make a whole team", in some cases it really does. It doesn't make a team, no, but it helps form one. I wouldn't like it if CP3 show'd up in Portland and it suddenly became his team, because i feel that alot of people would agree that it is Brandon Roy, or Lamarcus Aldridge's team. I would like to see B-Roy and the L-Train hook up alot more, and bring something along the lines of a Kobe-Shaq/D-Wade-Shaq duet. I think that between the two of them they could take ahold of this team by the reins, if they come out next season with something to prove, then it will just be curtains for all who oppose. 
    Dont get me wrong, CP3 is a natural leader, his skills benifit him and his team, but the Blazers, just arnt his team.

     I'm with you. traid every one for that starting 5(6). I mean all of them. with those guys, who would need a "rudy" to come of the bench, nate could just pick 7 people out of the stands and we would win.

    You''re right. They should dump Monta though. I was thinking maybe the Rockets could use the number 1 pick to get the lakers to do a sign and trade for D12.

    Batum is a great fit for their system and is young. Plus a lottery pick and potentially 2 other first rounders would give them a ton of flexibility. 


    If they say no we move on but at least offering the deal publicly will...
