Bleh, Quick is trying to make a story out of nothing. Big whoop if Rudy wants out, he's wanted out since last summer..way to bring it JQ!

I figured it was Rudy just looking at the title of your post. I hope by 'major' it means more than just a formal trade request. I'm sick of him. Get him out of here for. Maybe that team in Spain or wherever will give PA his buyout money back and take him back home. What a loser. Regardless of what happens, there is no way his attitude (OR his play) will help us win. I hope they keep his negative @ss away from the team.

I hope it's nothing major (which Rudy wanting out wouldn't be), but on the other hand I hope he's not demanding a trade because it will further damage our leverage in any Rudy trade talks because GM's will know even more so that he wants out and won't offer up top dollar for him.

His contract is cheap, in my opinion if he tries to strong arm paul allen, I hope Allen holds on to Rudy as long as he can, and send him to the D-League for the remainder of his contract. 15 man roster solved.

If he wants out let him out. Why make a guy unhappy? Paul Allen is not just going to hold onto him. You don't want to pay somebody that does not want to be paid by you. They would rather have somebody else who wanted it.

Poor Rudy! I remember when everyone was begging to get him over here and was ecstatic when he finally was. I just feel bad because he ended up on a team that doesn't fit his style of play (up tempo no defense). I think he deserves a better chance then he got here, I think he would do great with New York . LOL...It never fails though, he will end up on a team that knows how to set picks and let him play free enough to light us up when ever we play against them. What ever happens I wish him the best.

Louis Admundson is still available.  Isn't it possible to try to get a player like Bass or Admundson for Rudy, or has he de-valued himself too much?  Obviously, either player would fill a need here at the back-up 4 behind LMA.  Rudy might be a nice fit in Phoenix too.  Just asking.  If a return on Rudy is now out of the question, I would be in favor of Allen sending his butt down to the D league for the entire season next year, setting a very important precedent.  I agree with Crim here.

It's almost as if Quickie is taken it upon himself to nurture BlazerNation, letting them down easy following the CP3 disappointment by giving them something else to talk about.  Really though, it is just coming off as JQ trying too hard.  Pathetic.  Great call Kim!

There is also speculation that it will deal with either the trade rumors surrounding Andre Miller and him being unhappy especially after the blow up mid season OR it could have to deal with Bayless being unhappy due to the acquisition of Wesley Matthews and Elliot Williams. He's been looking for an increased role and has played decent, but with two new players on the roster that fit that same role, one of them being 5 inches taller and a better defender, Bayless is looking instead at a diminished role this season instead of a more important one.

Looks like it was Rudy wanting out....

    From RealGM-
The Trail Blazers are open to trading Rudy Fernandez, the guard told Spanish language newspaper El Mundo Deportivo.

"Portland is willing to make a trade and the truth is I'm pleased they want to do it," Fernandez told the paper.

"Now we have to find a team where I can have an important role or where I can find the dynamics I enjoyed in Portland the first year."

    HoopsHype.com translated the original article.

"My agents are in the United States, they are speaking with them and if something comes up they will travel to Portland," Fernandez continued.

I have no clue what he wants. We gave him minutes, let him play his style, but nothing came out of it. After taking the spill from Ariza, he was never the same player again.

Rudy is just...hmm...egotistical. We gave him minutes, gave him the opportunities to create with the ball in his hands, ran uptempo and further more he had his chance to really help us in the playoffs. But no he didn't. Jerryd Bayless stepped up instead. I could careless if we trade Rudy for a second round draft pick, how he played that's what he's worth.

Rudy has no value anymore. To us, the roster spot is more valuable now. We'll get nothing for him. Thanks for nothing Rudy. You blew in the playoffs when you had your chance. Don't let the door knob hit you in the corn hole.

Thought Rudy was going to be a great addition to this team. He looked really good his first season. Who would have thought losing Sergio would make that much of a difference??? Really sorry to see things turn out this way. Just let him go, get as much as possible, and let him go elsewhere. Maybe someday, he'll find happiness :)

I believe that I can safely speak for everyone and say that "I fail to see this news as qualifying for 'MAJOR' drama".  I may even go as far as to assert that it doesn't even meet "news" requirements.  Hate to be so critical (I really do), but this had to be stated.
