Who do you think has improved the most this year? We've had all of our guys really step up, Brandon, LaMarcus were good to begin with, but really stepped up their game. Batum had a bad summer league, but has been amazing throughout the season. Both Joel and Steve have had their best seasons as pros. Greg has steadily improved his game. Travis's shooting and defense is one of the big reasons we've been winning. Your thoughts?

The good news is, I don't think anyone has slipped in progress through the year.

I think that LaMarcus is definitely one of the most improved players this season. He has improved on both ends of the court, and has played exceptionally well since the all star break, as we all know.

I think Joel has had the most consistent season of his career, which could be chalked up to his being one of the most improved players also.

I agree with most of that Dan. LaMarcus has really put it into another gear since not getting selected to the all-star team. He's been HUGE for us lately. Brandon is, well Brandon. He just continues to amaze me even after I think he can't amaze me anymore. But Joel, man, I don't know if we'd be anywhere NEAR where we are without Joel. With Greg being up and down, injured, having foul problems, Joel has stepped up huge. I don't understand how he's not in the running for most improved player, or even defensive player of the year. I don't expect him to win, but a little recognition for our big man wouldn't hurt. He deserves it.

Batum was a surprise. Remember when everyone thought we were going to send Batum back to France and bring Petteri Koponen over instead? All I can say is thank you for not doing that. Don't get me wrong, I think Petteri will be good once we bring him over, but with Martell getting injured Nicolas has stepped up so big it's almost impossible to fathom. And in an interview with Blazersedge, Kevin Pritchard said they had tons of conversations about Batum and the person who finally gave the go ahead to bring him over was... none other than our owner, Mr. Paul Allen. So thank you Mr. Allen for being able to see something many of us couldn't. Who would have thought after summer league that Batum would be starting for us?

Blake has been a surprise for me as well. I knew he was a good decision maker and is normally in the top 10 for assist to turnover ratio, but this year he's been doing it from downtown. Hitting huge 3's and key buckets when we need them (case and point the play of the game against the Lakers. Nothing fancy, Blake was stuck in the corner and dribbled his man away, then hit the 2 to put us up by 3 and we never looked back). It's nice to have someone in the driver's seat that we're comfortable with.

Overall this whole team has really impressed me. Honestly to begin the season I thought we'd see Channing Frye more in the rotation, but that hasn't happened so oh well. I think the best part about this topic, is there's more than one answer. Remember when we wouldn't even be talking about things like this, more about what draft pick are we gonna get, or "did you see so-and-so's name in the arrest secion again?" It's so nice to have a team that not only is great on the court, but is even better off of it. RIP CITY, GO BLAZERS!!!
I am a fan of this team. Here's to hoping for a healthy season!!!

LTrain defenitely is the most improved player. What he is bring on both sides of the ball and is now developing a great post up game instead of his constant jump shot. His rebounding is improving all the time and his hustle up and down the floor and even willing to dive on the ground is impressive.
I am a fan of the blazers, the most under rated and hardest working team in the nba.

I completely agree. The only area left that I would like to see LTrain improve in is going to the hoop. I think with a little more agression, he will get to the foul line a lot more and get other teams key players into foul trouble.

Lamarcus in my oppinion has improved the most. So what if he does not take it to the hoop. he likes to shoot and he is good at so let the man shoot. i wont complain if he makes it rain out there. Keep it up L.A.

Honestly, I think Sergio has improved the most. We knew what Lamarcas was capable of he just needed to develope his confidence. I think if you compare how he played last year to how he finished this year he seems to have improved the most.

I know rudy doesn't really count because he wasn't with us last year. But dude has made a stellar transition into the nba and has improved his game in multiple aspects as well as mental toughness since the beginning of the season. Rudy leading the 2nd unit won us the game tonight. If i could pick one player who has improved the most this season it's him. How bout most disappointing... Jerryd Bayless :(

I'm going with Steve Blake. He really impressed me. His confidence level has gone way up and, while I don't have his stats in front of me, I feel like his contribution and role went way up.

Claver will make a great squad player when he develops his outside shot. His size is an asset because he can guard SF and stretch 4s. If he can be a better rebounder and add a post move to his game we could be looking at a possible answer to our f...

Oden was definitely the best pick coming out of high school and arguably ahead of Durant in the 2007 draft. But the draft is art not science and we really needed a dominant center at the time. If we can get Oden for a short term low-risk deal. Lik...
