With the Blazers Magic Number standing pat at 8, Portland will have a huge opportunity to trim it down 2 notches with a win over the Suns on TNT. We all know how the last one turned out. Roy drops a career-high 52,fans get crazy in the stands, & Portland gets a much needed victory over Phoenix.

After a difficult loss at home to the Sixers, it will be interesting to see how the Blazers respond. Phoenix has won 5 in a row and is showing signs of life. They are only 4 games back of our Trail Blazers, but if they take this one in the Rose Garden, it will be hard to stop the bleeding.

Will Brandon Roy rebound from his worst performance of the new year? Will Oden be able to bang with Shaq without getting whistled for ticky-tack fouls? Will another slow start dig Portland an early grave they can't climb out of? All questions will be answered Thursday night, but this team has given us no reason to think that they won't respond positively. With no Amare Stouemire for Phoenix, LaMarcus Aldridge should look to assert himself down low against the under-matched Boris Diaw and Louis Amundson.

I think this team is mentally tied from the playoff push, and a win over the Suns could nearly assure them of a playoff spot, so the only thing to worry about would be seeding. My prediction: Portland 112, Phoenix 105.

I totally agree with your Dustin. This is one of the big games of the year. The crazy thing is, we'll have about 5 of these in the next 2 1/2 weeks. Big games that we need to step up and win. That's good practice for the play-offs. It will be good for our guys to see this sort of pressure prior to the playoffs to get a little seasoned.

Rumors have shown that the Rockets are very interested in Dwight Howard and that the interest is mutual.

    I''d trade for Asik.

Sanders better shotblocker, better dunker and around the rim, Asik better defensively. I think Asik will have the better career.
