What Is Phoenix Doing?

    Phoenix has made two major moves tonight, both pretty mind-boggling.
    First up-
      @WojYahooNBA: The Suns have agreed to sign-and-trade w/ Atlanta for Josh Childress, 5 year $34 million contract
    Then the doozy-
      WojYahooNBA The Suns are trading Leandro Barbosa and trade exception to Toronto for Hedo Turkoglu, source confirms too. @paulcoro first reported.

    So they turned Amare and Barbosa into Childress and Hedo? Color me unimpressed. If they don't make any more moves, where does Childress get minutes at? J-Rich is at the 2 and Hill/Hedo are at the 3. Hello Lottery!

    They'll play Hedo at the 4 and J-Rich or Childress at the 2 and 3. They'll play small ball a lot and it's going to work fine. The west got really weak this off-season so far, so as of right now they will make the playoffs.

    Hedo is way to soft to play the PF in the west. I think that it's a dumb move on the Suns part to trade for Hedo, but I like that they had the balls to make a move like this to try and make the team better. Hedo should have never left the Magic, he had good chemistry on a championship level team. I don't think Hedo is better than Grant Hill right now and as far as the west getting weaker.....you are still going to need to win 50 games to even sniff the playoffs this coming year.

    exactly Hedo is a BUM...I can't believe KP tried to bring him to Portland....I'm a little upset that we didn't go after a 4 or 5.

    Nash, Richardson, Hill, Hedo, and Frye as your starting 5....not bad...lot of scoring with no defense...nothings changed but the numbers on the uniforms

    The Suns strength was in it's bench, as long as they have their bench they'll be fine. If not, they're screwed.

    So is Phoenix going to give up 120 or 130 points per game this offseason? Hedo is going to get absolutely annihilated in the post on defense and he's not exactly the quickest on offense to make up for it either.

    Hedo showed he has no reliability this past season so in all honesty the suns took a huge risk. Bringing in Childress was an ok move but he really has not showed anything to anyone even when he was in the NBA before leaving for euro. Suns have alot more work to do cause they are a lottery team now.

    Also people forget about dudly? with now Turk,Childress,J-rich and hill?

    Blazers should have given the money to Childress, not Matthews

    Why? Childress is 27, while Matthews is only 23. J-Chil can't shoot the 3 and is more of a SF than a SG. We are trying to free up minutes for Batum, not crowd him.
    BTW, here are Chil's stats in Greece over the past two years:

    Im not impressed with Gortat. Everyone wants him but he seems mediorcre to me. He is the most realistic option since all it would take is the 10th pick, but I think he is old and declining.
