    From Twitter-

SpearsNBAYahoo: Blazers vet big man Juwan Howard could be signing with Heat, league source tells Y! Sports. http://yhoo.it/bx98FN

I realize there's no playing time with the Blazers, but if there's anything worse than the Lakers, it'd be helping out Bron. I really hope this doesn't come to fruition.

heat are just trying to contact every veteran they hope would take a pay cut, so of course they would try to talk to howard, he's rich already and well loved around the league. I don't see this one happening though, Juwan is too classy....hope it doesn't happen at least.

If it means a ring, he can get it and retire and call it good. Not really a Juwan type move but I can understand if he goes.

yeah, me too. I sort of feel the same way as I did about Drexler wanting to go to Houston to play with the Rockets. Good guys deserve the ring. Let  him get his ring then sign as a coach with Portland.

The coaching roles will be full here by the time he retires.  Its his choice of how he wants to win a ring.
I'm not convinced its a done deal for Miami.  There is still only one ball......

I believe that now more than ever, these veteran voices will be valuable... I love the idea of Juwan as a coach!!! However, it needs to be on the player end right now. Juwan is so wonderfully positive and genuine. Considering all the stupid front-office crap we have been handed lately, I would love to see our vets pumping up morale. I don't believe Juwan can be bought... but I have had my heart broken a few times as a Blazer fan. PLEASE STAY, JUWAN.

OOPS! Posted message twice. Sorry. Is anybody out there thinking that maybe it isn't always about the RING? Obviously we are a long way (probably) from a championship. But I want to see our guys play healthy and strong and TOGETHER. I really think team spirit is underestimated in Portland. Look at Jeff (lil' bit) Pendergraph getting everyone all fired up, even if he doesn't see a minute of floor time. Remember when Brandon came back? And how about that "marcus camby" chant..I was there that night, and it was electrifying!! Sure, a championship would be amazing. But I think we should appreciate who we have, and the time we are in. Once again- I am a fan of keeping it real here in Portland. MISS YOU, KEVIN PRITCHARD!

It is all about the ring!!! I mean I won't hate the team if they never win, but that is the ultimate goal and if i feel like that isn't their highest priority I will lose interest. I would totally understand if Juwan went to Miami, and I would be happy for him. I think he deserves the chance. It would also alleviate some of the frustrations of having Lebrawndo win and swell his insane ego even more. If they do win next year.

Right now, the most realistic is Asik. If Houston pursue D12, sign and trade JJ and a couple second round picks, maybe Joel Freeland or somebody for Asik.

Nah, Washington would just sign him themselves, save them a pick. Also, no way JJ is worth a lottery pick. Oladipo would be great, for pretty much any team in the NBA. I don''t think it''s possible to get him though. Should focus on getting a defe...

Jermaine O''Neal, Drazen, Z-Bo, Sheed (I know he was already a star but still). Also Drazen was buried under Drexler and Porter.

What happens if we don''t win? Dwight will start his nonsense, we would be out a lot of money, and with no real talent to show for it. San Antonio and Memphis is proof that you don''t need superstars to win.
