Rudy to Miami for Chalmers and a pick?

    Did anybody else hear anything about that? I know it's not a huge deal, but I'd be down. Not sure what it would mean for our roster. Maybe that we found someone else that wants Millers expiring contract? I don't know. Thought I would see something about it in here. I think it was Quick that said it a couple of days ago.

    The deal is essentially dead. It was contingent upon LeBron not going to Miami.

    Why would Miami give up the next Rondo ??  Riley saw the diamond in the rough 2 years ago.

    DHawes - do you think the whole deal is dead, or just the Miller for Beasley part. It looked like that was the part contingent on what Lebron did. They do have Arroyo, and they played him and Chalmers about the same last year, and Arroyo was actually a little more productive. Do you think the Blazers are still working on moving Rudy, or are they done? Just curious what you think about it. I'm still hoping Rudy gets moved and this looked like a good way to do it.

    This is a great way to do it, but I dont see Miami giving up Chalmers, and Rudy would still come off the bench. Even though he would be in a place where more people speak Spanish (even if it is cuban spanish ) .
    Jason, if you figure out how to delete, please let me know.

    Yes, this particular deal is dead, because the pick that was coming back to us reportedly, was dealt in the sign and trades to cleveland or toronto. I don't think the Blazers are ever 'satisfied' with their team and will always continue to look for upgrades. The writing does appear to be on the wall for Rudy though after the drafting of Elliot and now potentially offering Wes Matthews.

    Why not? Getting Oden back for 15 a game wouldn''t be that bad if he can do as he did in his 1st season. Close to 2 blocks a game and anything close to 5 boards. He would provide a good presence and he can read the game quite well.

    To go another season with so many rookies is not a good idea. We need a couple of vets and atleast one young bench scorer. If we want a Center, go after Hawes from Philly and Dorrell wright can be signed as a free agent. We can trade our 2nd round...

    Thanks Ricky.   I''ll be watching @ 10.   Haven''t seen enough right hand from Shazamm.   Without the ability to take his defender either way off the bounce, let alone finish at the cup with either hand?   Second rounder at best.
