I'm sure all the dominoes will falls soon but if there is 1 player out there who might be available and would be an immediate upgrade at the sf position it would be gerald wallace...

Is Wallace that much of an upgrade over Batum though? He's definitely a better rebounder and shot blocker, but I'll give the overall offensive advantage to Nico. If we refused to deal Batum for Wallace in 09, I doubt we do it this  year. While Crash is a better player than Batum is now, the age gap of 8-9 years is significant and the way Wallace plays (all out) scares me in terms of his injury history. Wallace would be a good 4 if we played small ball, but we don't really and his inability to spread the floor with the long ball would cause too many offensive deficiencies with he, Roy, and Miller as the starting wings. There's just simply not enough perimeter threat in that lineup.

i respectfully disagree, if we want to win NOW! then Gerald is the way to go.... and we might not even have to trade batum in the deal..

Let's see what this would look like, Wallace, Roy, and Oden as in the starting line-up. Sounds like a new record of games missed due to injury not the starting lineup for a Championship team. Why don't we trade Miller and Aldrige for Iverson. I hear he wants to come back. Then we can resign Darius Miles to play the 4. I'm sure he'd be cheap. No, Wallace is too much of a risk and Nicolas Batum improves his game exponentially each year. I'm not willing to hamper that by forcing him to the bench behind Wallace for 40 games a season and I doubt the Blazers are too.

Well, the lottery is tomorrow, so fingers crossed. What my issue is, is that why would the Bucks trade away one of their best players, and potential DPOY for many years to come, for Nic Batum and a bunch of picks in a weak draft?

Blaser, Fab Melo had 14 blocks in the D-League, you want him? Noel has good instincts, but he is waaay to weak to go up against NBA bigs. Like I said before, Deron Williams weighs more than him. He as already had a knee injury, and we know how tha...
