Elliot is being held out due to banging knees during the pre-draft workouts. If it were up to him, he'd play, but the team is holding him out for precautionary reasons.

None of the Euros are playing this year, couldn't tell you why. I've got no clue, sorry.

I want to see if Patty Mills can force the Blazers to give him a roster spot. Mills could be our PG of the future. Patty is super quick with the ball in his hands and is a pure PG. A couple of years ago I remember players on the USA saying how suprised they were with the talent he has. It's clear that Portland is not willing to give up Batum or LA for a legit PG like cp3 or Tony Parker. Both PG would put Portland over the top.

I like Patty, I really do, but he made a huge mistake leaving school after his sophomore year and never got the chance to develop his skills. He's a great shooter and could turn into Mo Williams type of player, but I'm not sure he has the point guard skills to flourish in the NBA. Also, his defense leaves a lot to be desired.

Who knows if Elliot Williams will ever put on a Blazers uniform again. With rumors of us targeting Morrow and Matthews, what does that say about his future?

I don't think you jettison Williams because of reports that the Blazers are interested in Morrow and Mathews. First off, there will be plenty of teams vying for the services of those two, so who knows if the Blazers like either enough to get into a bidding war with other suitors.

What I am more sure of is that the Blazers aren't going to flip Williams right off the bat. They might not think he's able to contribute right away, but they sure as heck aren't going to trade him this early unless its a part of a major deal.

I didn't mean rumors alone mean his future is up in the air, but if we actually did sign Matthews or Morrow, he'd be buried on the depth chart and I don't think he'd be too happy about that.

Petteri signed a 4 year deal with Virtus Bologna either in 2008 or 2009 via ESPN-

Petteri Koponen, the 6-5 Finnish point guard who was a 2007 first-round pick of the Portland Trail Blazers, has signed a four-year deal with Virtus Bologna of Italy.

His agent, Marc Cornstein, says the deal has buyouts every summer which would make it possible for Koponen to return to the NBA. The Blazers can continue to hold Koponen's rights until 2011, although it will cost them some flexibility under the salary cap to do so.

In Bologna, the 20-year-old Koponen will compete for minutes at the point guard spot with Earl Boykins.

Koponen (who wants you to know that saunas and Santa Claus are from Finland) is something of an unknown. Although he has played twice as a Blazer in summer league, he has played regular seasons only in the lightly regarded Finnish league, where he was dominant.

His other club probably doesn't want him playing in a Summer League which takes time away from them and increases his chance at getting hurt.

Mills does need time... he is far greater of a pure thinker than JB...

Jermaine O''Neal, Drazen, Z-Bo, Sheed (I know he was already a star but still). Also Drazen was buried under Drexler and Porter.

What happens if we don''t win? Dwight will start his nonsense, we would be out a lot of money, and with no real talent to show for it. San Antonio and Memphis is proof that you don''t need superstars to win.
