With the acquisition of three new rookies and after seeing how well Jeff and Dante progressed last year, I am stoked for Summer League to start. I am not sure if the Blazers will be able to broadcast them like they did in 2008, but I do believe some will be on NBA TV. Here's the schedule:

PORTLAND, Ore. – The NBA today announced the 2010 NBA Summer League schedule. The Trail Blazers are one of 22 NBA teams set to participate, along with a team of NBA Development League Select players. The league will be held at the Thomas & Mack Center and COX Pavilion on the campus of the University of Las Vegas Nevada from July 9-18.

Last summer, the Trail Blazers Summer League team posted a record of 1-4. Dante Cunningham led the team with 18.3 points per game, Jerryd Bayless added 18.0 points per contest, and Jeff Pendergraph led Portland with 7.6 rebounds per game.

Portland Trail Blazers 2010 NBA Summer League Schedule:
Sunday, July 11 3 pm Houston COX Pavilion
Tuesday, July 13 7 pm New Orleans COX Pavilion
Thursday, July 15 7 pm L.A. Clippers COX Pavilion
Saturday, July 17 7 pm Minnesota COX Pavilion
Sunday, July 18 3 pm Chicago COX Pavilion

From that schedule, I really don't want to miss the Houston, LA Clippers, and Minnesota games. Patrick Patterson was one o my top 5 favorite prospects in the draft, so I want to see how he looks up against Pendergraph and Cunningham. I'm not sure if Blake Griffin is going to play or not, but Bledsoe and Aminu are still intriguing and I want to see how Armon Johnson and Babbitt match up against those two. Finally, I want to see the Wes Johnson hype. He's nearly 23, so he should be polished. I hope Elliot and Luke can hole their own.

Also, SL is not meaningless.  I still remember Roy's first SL game and he made me a believer right then and there. Who steps up to the challenge this time around?

I want to see the Babbitt/Wes Johnson matchup the most. I really hope they are on tv, but I think they wi9ll only be available on NBA.com broadband or nbatv. Cherish that week of basketball, because its going to be the last week of hoops for 12 weeks.

Yo Hawes, is the site doing anything for the Summer League games in terms of a live chat?

Would be cool to kick it with the forum posse while watching the game.

Haha, didn''t see you wrote this, asked if you wanted him at 11 on another topic. I like Meyers, I really do, buuuuut. Henson is a better defender. And Rebounder. And shot blocker. And is stronger.

if we get no.1 pick, i would trade that pick for omer asik and that all. the rockets would probably use that pick for a trade with the lakers since lakers need to get younger

Paul Allen might sell the Blazers but the Blazers will never leave Rip City.
