Martell is a great guy, but I just never really see any improvement with him. He has his moments but he's most definitely inconsistent. Luke Babbitt is a consistent scorer. Not sure how this will turn out.

Not a bad  deal for us, hoping Babbitt can shoot the lights out AND plays solid D like Martell did.

I really like Martell Webster.  Why is KP still doing the draft?  Get him out there before he destroys the team.

I heard the Martell trade has more to do with opening up more minutes for Batum than it is for wanting Babbitt/Gomes...

Update: Sorry, Ryan Gomes sounds like he is NOT headed to the Rose City.

EDIT- I guess he is involved now

    Here is the press release:

The Portland Trail Blazers sent guard Martell Webster to the Minnesota Timberwolves for Ryan Gomes and the rights to the #16 pick, Luke Babbitt.

Luke Babbitt, 6'9" SG/SF was one of the top talents in the 2010 NBA Draft. Known for his smooth and accurate lefty stroke with NBA 3 point range and a solid mid-range game, he shot 41% from downtown while averaging 21.9 PPG. All three rookies the Trail Blazers acquired on draft night are left-handed. Welcome Luke to Portland

Ryan Gomes, 6'7" F, averaged 11.5 PPG, 5.1 RPG for his career. A physical player that hustles on the floor, Gomes can also score, posting career high of 35 points vs Golden State on January 21, 2008.

Martell Webster, 6'8" SG/SF was selected 6th overall in the 2005 NBA Draft. He had career averages of 8.5 PPG and 3.1 RPG. On January 23, 2010 he scored a career-high 28 points in a win against the Detroit Pistons, also tying a career-high six three-pointers.

Shabazz or Saric. We need bench scoring.

But I rather move up and get Oladipo.
