So I was watching some of the Draft Preview shows and I noticed that Houston should be much better than they are. In the last couple years they have traded the rights to Nicolas Batum and Rudy Gay on draft day. Could you imagine Houston having Rudy Gay, Nicolas Batum and Aaron Brooks holding down the 1,2,&3 spot? That's a pretty stacked backcourt. As an owner, do I trust my GM and my scouts on Draft Day if they lost me that? He seems like the anti-pritch. I still wish I knew what was happening with the Blazers in that area.

I watched it too. Looks like Tom Penn landed on his feet.

If I were the Blazer owner, there is no one I would trust more than KP, Born and Buchanan.

As far as who I trust to not blow smoke, MB, Tone and Ben from Blazers edge. They talk basketball, and I have never heard them tell us how many pairs of shower sandals a player keeps in his locker;)

Our scouts are some of the best in the business.

Houston definitely wet the bed though. Even at the time, I was wondering why they'd deal an for a late 20's role player for the potential of Rudy Gay. Are the players comparable? Yes, but Gay is still so young and has more room to grow. Brooks was a gem late in round 1 though, but I guess that's the way it always works. you'll have your hits, your misses, your blunders, and your diamonds in the rough.

Claver will make a great squad player when he develops his outside shot. His size is an asset because he can guard SF and stretch 4s. If he can be a better rebounder and add a post move to his game we could be looking at a possible answer to our f...

Oden was definitely the best pick coming out of high school and arguably ahead of Durant in the 2007 draft. But the draft is art not science and we really needed a dominant center at the time. If we can get Oden for a short term low-risk deal. Lik...
