    From Chad Ford-

The Raptors have had serious talks today with the Portland TrailBlazers about a deal that would send the 22nd pick and Rudy Fernandez to Toronto for the 13th pick. The Blazers have been very aggressive about getting up into the lottery, but have been reluctant to part with both Fernandez and the 22nd pick to do it.
I bet this deal will be on the table until the last minute. Portland is probably trying to do the deal without #22 or to get the most out of Rudy in my opinion. The question is, who do we love at #13 or is it just a part of another plan to use that pick in a mega deal involving someone such as CP3? If we stay, I'd be thrilled to land Patrick Patterson or Avery Bradley.

    More from David Aldridge-

The Portland Trail Blazers continue to have discussions with several teams about reserve guard Rudy Fernandez, who has fallen out of favor with Coach Nate McMillan and has been seeking a trade for almost a year. The most serious suitors at the moment are the Toronto Raptors and Houston Rockets, with Toronto offering its first-round pick, the 13th pick overall, as part of a package.

Chicago and Washington have also expressed interest in Fernandez, 25, who was acquired from Phoenix in 2007 on Draft night and signed with Portland the following summer. The Bulls would like to move their first-round pick, 17th overall, for Fernandez. The Wizards offered guard Nick Young for Fernandez but were turned down.

Earlier reports that the Knicks were serious contenders for Fernandez were overblown.

The Blazers, as ever, have been trying to buy draft picks with owner Paul Allen's deep pockets. They moved up 10 spots in the second round earlier this week in a deal with Golden State, rising from 44th overall in the second round to 34th by giving the Warriors an unspecified amount of cash to exchange picks. Teams have been asking for up to $2 million for high second-round picks; the maximum cash amount a team can put in any transaction is $3 million.

Where there is smoke, there is fire...just sayin'

    From Twitter-

FisolaNYDN The word on Rudy is that if the Blazers don't get what they want, Paul Allen would rather have him rot on the bench then give him away

Will be interesting to see what gives come tomorrow night

    Dead Rumor-

DraftExpress Portland-Toronto Rudy Fernandez trade is "dead." Not happening. Portland is continuing to be very active, as is Oklahoma City.
I wonder who we want so badly in the late lotto?

Not a bad deal from a talent standpoint, but how does Jefferson and Oden fit together? Then you have the #4 pick, which is Favors or Cousins. So now you have Oden, Jefferson, Favors? Doesn't seem like the best fit.

Nice Idea but I think the TWolves trade is very lobsided in our favor

Derrick Williams and Budinger are proven players in the league. Claver and Freeland are not

Hawes was playing nice this season and would be a good pick up imo ...

I love the Grit and Grind, and I love the Spurs timeless play. I think if the Spurs get to the finals, they will beat the heat, but they won''t beat the Grizzlies easily, and the Grizz can''t beat the Heat. I know it''s weird.
