From Chad Ford's latest Mock Draft-

The Blazers rejected the Wolves' offer of the No. 4 pick for Batum a couple of week ago.
A few things popped into my mind immediately after hearkening this.  First, it's good to know we are the only ones who value Batum around here. I know every fan base likes to put on the team-colored glasses when evaluating their own players (myslef included), but to see they would give up the 4th pick for Nico means he really could be a legit All-Star.

Also, this means that Batum is better than any small forward prospect in the draft, including Aminu and Johnson. We've got a real gem on our hands and hopefully his shoulder will allow him to play 35 minutes a night for us next season.

I don't know how I feel about that. I really like Batum, but his injury concerns bother me. Also, is this the right time to cash in on our investment? We waited too long to cash in on Outlaw and Rudy. Right now, Quick said Batum was THE hot commodity around the league right now. I would be livid if we did the deal to get Wesley Johnson, but Cousins and/or Favors might be too much to pass on.

Currently, I'm fine with keeping Batum for the 4th pick, but I would throw him in a deal if it landed us a player of CP3's caliber.

Yeah, I would venture to guess that Batum is going to be around for a while. I think the probability of us moving him is slim to none. He is looking to be the Robin to Roy's Batman at this point. It looks like the Blazers may be looking to add an Ironman to the squad to aid the dynamic duo. A star in their own right to make this team extremely dangerous. Not to take anything away from Aldrige, but Batum continues to improve and work hard to improve. Aldrige just seems to want to get physically stronger. How about some agression Lamarcas? Some grit? If Aldrige wants to remain in the All-Star conversation he needs to improve his overall game and no just his size and extending his range. Stop shooting the 3 and work on dunking.

I agree with this. I would however deal Batum for the right price, but that price is pretty high. Batum fits this team to a tee and I would do everything to try and upgrade the team without using him in a trade. We should be turning our attention to Aldridge and seeing what he can net u. Unfortunately, if Oden can't be counted on, the team will only go as far as LA is ready to lead them. This school of thought also leads back to the Batum for #4 deal. Favors/Cousins could ultimately be that big man we an pair Roy up with. I firmly believe if LA would play like a man possessed, he'd be a sure fire All-Star.

Nice Idea but I think the TWolves trade is very lobsided in our favor

Derrick Williams and Budinger are proven players in the league. Claver and Freeland are not

Hawes was playing nice this season and would be a good pick up imo ...

I love the Grit and Grind, and I love the Spurs timeless play. I think if the Spurs get to the finals, they will beat the heat, but they won''t beat the Grizzlies easily, and the Grizz can''t beat the Heat. I know it''s weird.
