Yo   have  we  all lost  our  minds............kevin is  the best hire  of  the  last  10  years. So  he  missed  on the  big  fella ...everyone  said  Durant was a better scorer right  out  of  school so why  the problem.  Dont do  it  .....this  could  be  the  worst firing  in  club  history. The  buildings full  ....rip  city  is  alive man dont  you  see it every game . Look around  most  cities  would  die  to  have  the karma ......Go  big or  stay  home ....let him  make  the  next move   JOE JOHNSON  CHRIS  PAUL.......BOOZER who  i dislike  but  those  3  for greg  rudy  and  draft  picks . We can rule  the  west  for  5  years  maybe  10   but  not  kevin hes  the  real deal . For  a team  to  win 50  games  back to  back  and  we  cant  put  a guard  on the  floor  to  stop  dribble  penetration come  on  thats is incredible   not  a firing  offense.
I am a fan of in KP we trust

Maybe this is the best smoke and mirrors ever by the Blazers before the draft.  Other gm's are sidetracked from their Pritchslapophobia right now, because the hater in them wants him to be gone.  Catch one slipping ??

Bayless can stop dribble penetration, he just cant stop both guards at once.

Ok, I'm new to this but I need to get this off of my chest.  I am a born and raised Oregonian and lifelong Trailblazer fan.  I moved away from Oregon over 15 years ago but have never stopped following and rooting for the blazers in all that time.  I am also old enough to remember the '77 championship team and the euphoria that took over Portland.  To this day, that team is the gold standard for all Trailblazer teams that have followed.  Only the teams with Clyde, Terry, Buck, Jerome and Duck compare.  And why is that?  Is it their twp appearances in the Finals?  There deep playoff runs?  Yes that is a part of it too be sure but I think it is more the connection that these two teams had with their fans and city.  Remember the picture of Jack Ramsey arms spread to the heavens?  Rick Adelman was and still is to my knowledge a Portlander.  There is deep connection to the team, OUR team.

When the Jailblazers were assembled Portland lost interest in their team.  It wasn't the performance on the court that turned the fans off, it was the disconnection between the team and the fans.  This was caused by the players low moral standards and apathy they showed to those that adored them.

Fast forward to present times and what we have on our hands is the same situation but this time we have a team that the fans adore and a front office that is acting the same way as those Jailblazers of the past.  Paul Allen's and Larry Miller's handling of the Kevin Pritchard situation is disgraceful.  Pritchard's hard work and diligence has built a team that the city and state is once again connect to and Blazermania has returned...FINALLY.

I don't pretend to know the inner workings of the Blazer front office but I do know this.  The BUCK STOPS WITH PAUL ALLEN.  If the tables were turned and Paul Allen was treated in the way Kevin Pritchard is being treated now, we would be reading and talking about a total clearing out of upper management,  and it wouldn't be subtle changes.  Paul Allen needs to put his ego aside and treat Kevin Pritchard like a man.  The man that has assembled this current roster.  If he wants to fire KP that is his right but show him the respect he has earned and give him the dignity to leave with his head up.

Kevin Pritchard is not a dog that can be kicked aside and replaced as easily as a trip to the humane society, so please Mr. Allen, put your own ego aside, recognize KP for what he has done for you and treat him as you DEMAND others to treat you.  Billions of dollars in your bank account make you no more of a man than the person that cleans your office every night.  Or the man that built you an NBA team you can be proud to call yours.

I don't know the inner workings of the Blazers' front office either, but I do know this, everything I have heard about all of Paul Allen's companies is that they are cut-throat. If you aren't moving forward, you are falling behind. I've heard stories about people blackballing eachother left and right to try and move up in Paul Allen's favor. I'm a 25 year old nothing from Boring and I've heard this, there is noone hired by Paul Allen that doesn't know this ahead of time. I don't feel bad for KP because he knows he signed up for this, he just forgot in all the hullabaloo of "pritch slap." This is the same reason why Nate only agrees to one year deals, it proves to Paul Allen that he will compete for his own job every year and will be the best for it. This is why he's changing up the coaching staff too, he wants to prove that he can move forward still and is not stagnant. This is not news to Pritchard. He got bigger than the organization, he got complacent, and Allen doesn't believe in complacency. As soon as someone thinks they are invincible and irreplacable, he's going to get a reality check. He may still survive this reality check, but at least he will be put on notice. If he doesn't survive this reality check, then it is because someone else swooped in while Pritchard was too busy being complacent. Nate puts himself on notice every year, he's old school. The rest of us don't have long term contracts and someone could replace all of us at anytime. How come you aren't this mad at your boss? It's life. KP has done a very good job, maybe even a GREAT job, and I certainly wouldn't say he blew it on Oden, not yet. You can evaluate that at the end of Oden's career. I will say that we could have had Ray Allen to compliment Roy a couple years ago before he went to Boston, but we went to the draft instead. We've only made one trade mid-season and that was because we were out of Centers. I would put those two things as grades against him before I would start dropping the "bust" bomb on Oden. Let him compete this summer. Competition builds character and in Portland, we are all about character.

Huge waste of cash.   We''d be better off giving that money to 2 players making the veteran''s minimum.

You''re right. They should dump Monta though. I was thinking maybe the Rockets could use the number 1 pick to get the lakers to do a sign and trade for D12.

Paul Allen might sell the Blazers but the Blazers will never leave Rip City.
