The All-NBA "Thank Me LAter" Team-

With that in mind, I wanted to examine five players that have tremendous expectations for their big stage debut. And one day, GMs, coaches and fans will be thanking them too.

    Greg Oden, SCORE: 8.0

    Legit Hype: 8

    Talent: 7

    Highest Potential: 9
A mix between David Robinson and Bill Russell

Although, Oden is the only player on this list that has actually physically played in the NBA, I still believe that we have yet to see the best of G.O. I honestly believe that he has all the tools to be a dominant post defender and a difference maker for Portland. I’m confident that if he can stay healthy, Blazers fans will be thanking him (and he will be thanking them for their patience).

I am still a firm believer that Ricky Rubio will not transition well over to the NBA. He can't shoot and his body looks to frail.  Also, if Blake Griffin's comparison is Carlos Boozer, he doesn't deserve to be #1 on this list. He'll be nice, don't get me wrong, but he's no 2nd coming of Barkley or Malone.

Surprised this isn't getting any love. Media OUTSIDE of Portland still believe in Greg and think he can still become the impact center we all knew he could be.

I agree with you. If Oden can stay healthy, he can be one of the best of the best of the big men in the middle. I dont think we have seen one tenth of his potential. We got a pretty good glimpse of it before he went down during this past season but he is still young and has a lot of developing to do. He will be a dominant presence down low if he can get that knee to behave. I would like to see more of the alley-oop (however it is spelled) pass to Oden for an easy two. Not many teams were good at stopping that. I believe in Oden. He can get it done.

We have seen flashes of greatness from G.O. this last season, one solid NBA season is all this guy needs to be a dominate player...just gotta stay healthy big man!

Rubio is the biggest long shot on the list, I think Evan Turner should be #1, not as "talented" as some of his other classmates but I think he has the other intangibles you need to play in the NBA.

Rip a cap hold is a number given to free agents. Basically the cap hold is added to the teams salaries at the start of free agency. So for example a team has 10 million in cap space but has 15 million in cap holds they are technically over the sal...

Noel was playing at around 220 so I doubt the added weight will slow him down too much the guy just needs to continue his rehab and hit the weight room and he will be fine.

As long as he stops pulling the ball down in the post I will be happy nothing more annoying than watching that happen several times a game
