What Should The Blazers Do With Their Draft Picks?
    Trade Up (9)
     43%
    Trade Down (2)
     10%
Trade Out Of The Draft (5)
     24%
Stay Pat & Select best Player Available (5)
     24%
If you were GM Kevin Pritchard, what would you do with the #22 and #44 draft picks? Do you buy more picks and trade up to select someone you have your eyes on, do you trade back a few slots to nab someone while also picking up future assets, do you trade completely out of the draft either picking up future picks or using those picks as trade bait to landed a proven player, or do you simply stay put and select the best possible player available at those positions?

Over the past month, I've heard a lot of differing opinions on how the picks should be used. Some really love the idea of picking up some insurance, while others want nothing to do with another young player. It's time to see where the majority lies.

I voted trade down, Should be a deep draft with some good values and some potential steals early to mid second round. If this is truly KP's last draft with the Blazers i'd say use his talent and keep the young talent pool stockpiled on the cheap.

If we can pull a trade with our first rounder and a player(s) to move up into the high lottery and still keep our second rounder im also fine with that. There are some nice big men that are NBA ready that can back up LMA this next season.

No picture of Rudy Hawes?... :-P

Buy picks, Trade Rudy, Move Up..do it all! I love Draft time..its like Christmas in June! I'd love to get into the 8-12 range. I know we've worked out Paul George, and he will definitely not be there at #22. Then there is always that prospect who slips (Piece, Qyntel Woods, Caron Butler, Brook Lopez, etc) so if we can make a play to move up for them, better for us.

Just because rookies won't play now, doesn't mean we should trade out imo. I would hope we don't have another injury riddled season where we have to call upon our rookies to bail us out. I just want to add another piece to the puzzle who will play their role down the line a bit. We don't need any help right away, but Miller, Camby, and Howard are getting up there in age and Joel hit the age of 30 which is usually the last big hurdle to clear if a player is to have a prolonged career in the NBA, so I'd like to pick up a little insurance for 2 years from now in this draft.

Just out of curiosity, who would you be willing to part with in a trade to get high enough to land someone like Turner?
Imo, Bayless will be able to take over when Miller retires. Hopefully before Camby retires, Oden will be able to play an entire season.
Cunningham and Pendergraph can already take Howards role.
I hope Pryz has at least 2 more years left in him.  If after 6/30/10, we hear different about Pryz coming back, I may change my mind.
Until then, I sound like Charlie Browns teacher about Blake coming back, and letting the team get healthy and play one more year before I make a move, but I'm not the gambling type ;)

Why not? Getting Oden back for 15 a game wouldn''t be that bad if he can do as he did in his 1st season. Close to 2 blocks a game and anything close to 5 boards. He would provide a good presence and he can read the game quite well.

To go another season with so many rookies is not a good idea. We need a couple of vets and atleast one young bench scorer. If we want a Center, go after Hawes from Philly and Dorrell wright can be signed as a free agent. We can trade our 2nd round...

Thanks Ricky.   I''ll be watching @ 10.   Haven''t seen enough right hand from Shazamm.   Without the ability to take his defender either way off the bounce, let alone finish at the cup with either hand?   Second rounder at best.

Sug81 I love Iggy but this team has numerous gaping holes throughout the depth chart so signing Iggy is not the best way to spend our limited funds

That roster looks pretty good, but if we would have enough cash Corey or Ronnie brewer would be nice
