    Andre Miller
    Position: PG
    Height/Weight: 6-2/200
    NBA experience: 11 seasons
    2009-10 salary: $6,730,800
Contract status: Andre Miller signed with Portland as a free agent on July 24, 2009. Miller, set to make $7,269,264 in 2010-11, is entering the second year of a three-year deal. Portland holds a team option for 2011-12.

2009-10: Averaged 14.0 points, 3.2 rebounds, 5.4 assists, 1.1 steals and 30.5 minutes in 82 games (66 starts) ... Ranked 20th in the league in assists, leading Portland a team-high 45 times (including ties) ... Finished 21st in NBA in assists-to-turnover ratio (2.57) ... Ranked 23rd in NBA in free throws made (322-392, 82.1%) ... Passed John Lucas for 21st in NBA history in career assists and now has 6,465, third-most among active players (Jason Kidd, Steve Nash) ... Scored 28 points to go with eight rebounds and eight assists Jan. 22 at Boston ... Grabbed a season-best 10 rebounds (five offensive) Jan. 5 vs. Memphis ... Recorded 22 points and a Trail Blazers season-best 16 assists Jan 14. at L.A. Clippers, becoming the first Blazer to record at least 20 points and 15 assists since Kenny Anderson (22 points, 15 assists) on Jan. 24, 1997.

Andre Miller was not Portland's first choice in free agency last summer; he wasn't even the second choice. But as it turned out, he was the right choice. After signing with the Blazers in July, Miller said Portland was his first choice and Nate McMillan, who had been asking for veteran help for two seasons, said Miller was his target.

It certainly wasn't a smooth transition as his new teammates learned to play with him and his new coach learned to use him. Opinions varied, tempers flared but through it all Miller just kept playing.

The NBA's Iron Man continued his consecutive-game streak in his first season with the Blazers, extending his run to 612 regular-season games, the longest active streak in the NBA. Miller and Martell Webster were the only Blazers to appear in every game this season.

Unfortunately for Miller, his starts streak was snapped this season as he was in and out of the starting lineup until earning the full-time starting nod in mid December. As a starter, Miller averaged just under 15 points per game. The Blazers went 44-22 in his 66 starts.

Miller scored in double figures 58 times, including 17 games of 20-plus points, with the crowning achievement his 52-point (on a franchise-record 22 field goals) outburst in a 114-112 win in Dallas. The performance tied for the second-highest scoring total in franchise history.

Miller scored 20 or better 17 times this season and dished out 10-plus assists 12 times.

Miller was often the often the Blazers' director of basketball operations on the court this season with Brandon Roy missing nearly 20 games due to injury. And in Game 1 of the postseason, with no Roy available, Miller continued that role, having arguably his best playoff performance. Miller led the Blazers to the series opening win with 31 points, eight assists, five rebounds and three steals in 39 minutes.

Miller scored in double figures in five of Portland's six playoff games, averaging 15.7 points, 5.8 assists, 3.2 turnovers, 3.2 rebounds, 1.2 steals in 35 minutes per game.

Stay Stay Stay! Without him, we don't make the playoffs. Felt good having a true point guard out there running the show, something missed since the days of Strickland and TP. He is extremely durable and is going to be able to get Oden going often next season. Also, I just don't like the idea of having 3 different starting point guards in 3 consecutive seasons..time to keep the chemistry flowing.

Stay and it's not even close! Think of how well we'll do when our team is healthy to play WITH Andre. Teams won't be bale to shadow him with a healthy Greg, Nico, and Brandon.

I'm glad Dre is a Blazer. We need more fierce competitors like him on this team.

Nah uhhh a defensive center, a backup big either position I don''t care, an experienced wing, without having to give up any draft picks. I''d probably do this but I just don''t know for sure.

I completely agree he could be that voice on the court we need. Lamarcus just isn''t that guy and Damian can learn some on court leadership from him. A small lineup when we need a score bad of Dame, Wes, Paul, Nic, and Lamarcus would be potent.

Howard is great but his back injury and shoulder issues this year were troubling.

I mean Damian might have not even been in the same area as them when it happened. Innocent until proven guilty

I would agree Harris seems more dynamic but Harkless looks pretty good as well.
