    After he threw them under the bus with the "I don't care if the fans show up" comment and then backing that up with a terrible playoff series, it seems like the fans want him out.

    Couldn't have thought of a worse way to end out a contract year. I think he cost himself a ton of money or maybe the Knicks will overpay him the MAX. I almost forget sometimes he is 29 years old and will be 35 by the time that contract ends up. After bolting a promising PHX team in 2005 for more money, he really never took the Hawks to an upper echelon level of the East. The 2nd round is about as far as they'll go. Not worth MAX money in my opinion.

    Atlanta has fans? Seriously? I wouldn't have known by looking at all those empty seats in their nice arena..hmm could have fooled me.

    Either way, some team is going to be desperate after losing out on the main guys and throw too much cash at JJ.

    Surprised he didn't get more heat from the "don't care if the fans show up or not" comment. If that would have been a Trail Blazer, it would been a media backlash!

    I wonder if the Hawks have a fire sale this summer and rebuild if JJ leaves. Maybe Jamal Crawford will be on the market? He'd fit in perfect here.

    Even though Horford is a very nice young player, I wouldn't take him over Aldridge. He doesn't have the mid-range game to spread the floor.

    The only player on the Hawks that intrigues me is Josh Smith, but he wouldn't work. He has the body of a small forward with a power forward's mentality. He can't shoot from the outside and doesn't obtain good post moves. Although he is great to watch, his game is based upon athleticism and not one who I think will hold up once he passes the 30 year old mark.

    Greg wants a fresh start. Portland wants a fresh start. And thank you, Siccolo, for comparing this to B Roy. Any draft prospect is going to be pretty impressed with what GO can do on the court... even a 75% GO. A kid that has no idea what NBA game...

    To go another season with so many rookies is not a good idea. We need a couple of vets and atleast one young bench scorer. If we want a Center, go after Hawes from Philly and Dorrell wright can be signed as a free agent. We can trade our 2nd round...

    Thanks Ricky.   I''ll be watching @ 10.   Haven''t seen enough right hand from Shazamm.   Without the ability to take his defender either way off the bounce, let alone finish at the cup with either hand?   Second rounder at best.
