    Marcus Camby
    Position: F-C
    Height/Weight: 6-11/235
    NBA experience: 14 seasons
    2009-10 salary: $7,650,000
Contract status: Acquired from the Los Angeles Clippers on Feb. 16 in exchange for Travis Outlaw and Steve Blake. Entering the first season of a two-year extension with Portland, Marcus Camby is set to make $8,453,250 in 2010-11 and $9,256,500 in 2011-12, the final year of his deal.

2009-10: After joining Portland, averaged 7.0 points, 11.1 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.13 steals, 2.04 blocks and 31.2 minutes in 23 games (all starts) ... Posted regular season averages of 7.5 points, 11.8 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.28 steals, 1.97 blocks and 31.3 minutes in 74 games (all starts) with L.A. Clippers and Portland ... Ranked second in the NBA in rebounds and fifth in blocks ... Grabbed 20-plus rebounds 38 times in his career, including six times in 2009-10 ... Finished eighth in league in steal-to-turnover ratio (1.04) ... Notched 17 double-doubles ... Scored in double figures 21 times ... Shot 49.7 percent from the field in 23 games for Portland ... One of just four players to average 10.0 rebounds and 2.50 blocked shots for their careers since blocks became a stat in 1973 ... One of 11 players in NBA history with 2,000 career blocks and 7,000 career rebounds ... Grabbed 19 rebounds March 19 vs. Washington, his most as a Blazer.

After joining the Trail Blazers in mid February, Marcus Camby helped reinforce Portland's center position depleted by injuries to Greg Oden and Joel Przybilla. In just his second game in a Blazers uniform, Camby grabbed 18 rebounds against the Utah Jazz.

He grabbed his first double-double as a Blazer in a 101-89 win over Dallas on March 25, his 14th appearance. Camby grabbed double-digit rebounds 17 times for Portland, including six straight games (twice) in the regular and postseason, and 15 boards or more 8 times. He collected double figures in rebounds in 10 of his last 12 games and in 46 contests overall.

In arguably his most memorable game as a Blazer, Camby scored 30 points (12-for-16 FG) -- his most since netting 33 on Dec. 2, 2005 -- to go with 13 rebounds in a 103-95 win over Oklahoma City, prompting a hair-raising "Mar-cus Cam-bee" chant from the Rose Garden crowd.

That performance also helped Portland secure its second consecutive 50-win season and avoid the No. 8 seed in the playoffs. The Blazers finished the regular season 17-6 with Camby in the lineup.

In the postseason, Camby posted averages of 5.8 points, 10.0 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.2 blocks, 0.7 steals in 29.5 minutes per game.

Camb earned some recognition for his defensive efforts this season, grabbing 12 points in the NBA's All-Defensive Team voting and just missing the a second team nod.

Whether we want him or not, he's staying after signing the two-year extension :) . Personally, I think it'd be crazy to not want to keep Camby around after his 2nd half of the season performance. Not to mention, with Greg and Joel's injury history, it is imperative to have him around to help out the other big men and give us a defensive presence inside.

Isn't that the truth! If he would have went elsewhere this summer, we would have been screwed. Love Greg & Joel, but they just can't be relied upon right now at this point. He was priority #1 this summer and thankfully he wanted to come back!

This past season the biggest problem was that we had 5 players that did the majority of the scoring for this team and the bench didn''t produce or defend at all.   This coming season the Blazers are going to need production from both the first...

Joakim Noah has had his injury troubles. His crazy game and high energy make him a constant injury threat. What separates him from Oden and Rose (I had to just mention him) is his willingness to play the way he loves.

You know what is good about the draft you can usually move up and down if your willing. We could have gotten Drummond and everyone here knows it. We also could have taken Harkless, or Henson at 11 or moved back a few spots. We also could have draf...
