For as up and down as our play has been recently, it's great to see us come from behind, lock down on defense and scrap our way to a win.  Oh, it's not bad seeing Brandon go off for 40 either.  The guys are tired, it's the end of the season and everyone is, but because of injuries I think it's affecting us a little more, but when Brandon is playing well we have the chance to win on any night.  Go Blazers!

Whoo hoo!  It's ABOUT TIME we beat the Warriors in their house!  Good to get THAT monkey off their backs!  There was just no stopping Brandon.  Anytime he scores 30 or more, good things happen.  Lamarcus really did look out of rhythm but I'm glad he picked it up in the 2nd half.  Those 3s by Rudy were great pick-me-ups.  And you just gotta love Andre workin' hard at the post.  Wow...he's definitely a blue collar player!  I miss Blake, which is somene who would've given Brandon the ball more, but it's nice to see that Andre is a post player as well as a distributor.

And all that...coming from 16 down with less than 7:00 to go in the game.  Sure, Golden State loves to run but as soon as they went small, Nate went big, even though the bigs don't really work well offensively together.  Going to the zone with them, however, helped and it was nice to see Ellis foul out early in the 4th.  That kid is a pistol.

However, I agree with Sir Charles:  the Blazers really DO need a big man who can effectively be a low post scorer for them to be a serious threat to everyone.  He doesn't have to put up big numbers...just be a threat to keep the opponents' defenses honest.  The Blazers have always been a team designed for a big man.  It's like I've often said:  Too bad we didn't have Sabas (my all time fave player) during his prime, because the Blazers would've had a championship with him.    I mean, look what he did for the team with bad wheels!  I swear, the man had eyes in the back of his head and two extra arms.  But I digress.  It's nice to have a defender like Camby but I wonder if things might have been a bit better with Brandon Bass.

Anyway, I do agree with you that there's a little bit of fatigue and it's showed in the last few games.  Particularly in that rough loss in Denver.  That's another place they need to get a quality win at.  I always cringe when they go to Denver.  I don't know what it IS about that place.  The game against Sac two nights ago shouldn't have been as close as it was but I like the fact that the Blazers toughed it out to the end.  Same thing tonight.

I give Nellie and the Warriors a lot of credit, though. They have an exciting young team with a bright future.  Ellis and Curry are the wave of that future for them.

On to Sacratomato tomorrow night!  I live in the mountains over an hour north of Sacramento, where I work (I'm a Paramedic).  I've been to Arco Arena but I have never seen the Kings play live, although I watch all their games on Comcast here.  I miss the Rose Garden (as well as all the great memories of going to the old Colesium - I was there for the 1977 Championship game) though.

I'm gonna scrounge for last-minute tix and suprise someone with a trip to Arco tomorrow night!

    GO BLAZERS!!  RIP CITY!!!

I wouldn't call that win great, but a win is a win.

As Charles reminded us again, we should have dominated the paint in the land of the munchkins, the entire game. Whats up with turnovers and no Dante ?
Quit digging holes, and play to your level, not the other teams level, the playoffs are right around the corner guys.  Step on their throats and don't let up !!

Bring on the Kings,  Go Blazers !!!!

It was nice to see the Blazers actually dig their way out of a 16 point deficit.  Nice to see B Roy step it up since he has been off for the past 5 games or so.  At this point, ANY win is good and needed!!!  I agree though, WHERE WAS DANTE??? Did I miss something?  Is he injured?  I would think he would have been a great little explosion of energy against that young quick team.  Oh well, we scrapped it out and won.  After being down so far, I just didnt see it coming.  Now, time to beat the queens tonight!!  :)

    GO BLAZERS!!!

Muchas Gracias Rudy for the two triples late in the 4th! Those were the turning point in us coming full circle for the win.

That's my only fear. It took a miraculous performance from Roy and not much out of Curry and Ellis and we had to come back from 16 down to beat the lowly Warriors! Don't get me wrong, a win is a win is a win, but damn, we need to quit relying on Roy so much and just bring the intensity and focus for a full 48? Outside of beating the lowly Wolves, when was the last time we put together a COMPLETE 48 minute game?

You know what is good about the draft you can usually move up and down if your willing. We could have gotten Drummond and everyone here knows it. We also could have taken Harkless, or Henson at 11 or moved back a few spots. We also could have draf...

Maybe we should go for Pekovic as a restricted free agent and see what Minn will do.

Henson will be solid down the road but his ceiling is more like Taj Gibson. He is a great role player but not elite like Sanders and Ibaka could be if people were not so willing to shoot on him.
