It's A New Season!
Since the last day of the season in April, it has been all about preparing for Auditions!
Auditions were at the end of July this year, and of course, it was another tough year of amazing girls and talent!
The first weekend we learned three dances to bring back the following weekend, to our “Finals.”
It was a stressful, but fun day, full of nerves and excitement, and when it was all over, it was such a relief!
This year, we had to wait 3 days before the “reveal,” which I must say, was so hard!
I couldn’t stop thinking about the team, and how badly I wanted to be back, and then finally the reveal was here!
We all went to the Rose Garden, and met in a Suite.
They then announced the girls, one by one, on the big screen!
I was the 11th
girl to be announced (out of 16), and it was again, an amazing feeling to make it back!
It’s my third season with the Blazers, and I can’t believe how fast it’s gone!
Four days after the reveal, I quickly packed my bags, and headed to Las Vegas with my coach Michelle, and teammate Leisel.
We were there for a camp called “Pro-Action Dance Camp” and choreographers from all over the country come and teach amazing dance routines to NBA, NFL, college, and other teams.
It was an incredible experience, and I’m so excited to teach all of my teammates the awesome routines I learned, and showcase them on the court this year!
A week after I got home from Las Vegas, I was headed to Tallinn, Estonia in Europe, to dance for the “Sprite Streetball” Tournament.
It was an event put on in Estonia of local teams, and teams from other countries to come and play in a very competitive tournament!
The ages ranged from young kids to adults, and it was such a fun an experience I will never forget!
After being home from Estonia for a couple weeks, we then headed to dance camp this past weekend for our “mini” camp.
It was held in Portland, and we had three choreographers fly in from Los Angeles to teach us some amazing routines!
After three days, a lot of hard work, and sore muscles, we came away with 13 amazing routines to bring to the court this year!
It is always a fun experience to have the whole team together for some bonding, and do what we all love the most, DANCE!
We also have themed days, and the picture is of my teammate Stephanie and I doing some cardio before our first learning session on Friday, for the “Blazer Gear” themed day.
Now that camp is over, it’s time to prepare for the season!
Our first game is just over a month away, and I can’t explain how excited I am to get going again!
Fans get ready, this is going to be an amazing season!
See you on the court soon!
GOOOO BLAZERS!!!! :)
