By now I’m sure you’ve been following The Oregonian’s “You Be The GM” series. If you’re not, get on it. It’s a chance for you to give your input on the composition of the Trail Blazers roster in the form of a “Stay” of “Go” vote for every guy who ended last season in Rip City.

Alright, don’t be misled by the title peeps. The season for the Blazers has now been over for a couple weeks, but I’ve yet to come to grips with it. I certainly didn’t want it to end, and neither did you. But reality does indeed bite!

In my first summer blog (sorry, my first blog ever), I talked about some of the things the Trail Blazers needed to address this off-season. The most obvious situation, and most likely to be filled first, are the GM and head coaching jobs. Then I talked about the on the court situations that needed

Nicolas Batum's status as a restricted free agent is one of the main topics of conversation this offseason. Will the team now have to overpay to retain him? What other teams are interested? How much is too much? And so on and so forth.
But I think what fans question the most is the decision t

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. The “You Be The GM” series put on by The Oregonian is one of the best they do. It’s right up there with Jason Quick’s “Behind The Blazers Locker Room Door,” my all-time fave.

John Hollinger: "Every indication is that the Blazers want to use their picks in a trade to get some immediate help, and then dive into free agency, and then at the end of all that re-sign Batum. They aren't interested in rebuilding while they have an All-Star power forward in his prime."

If you were to listen to Dallas Mavericks head coach, Rick Carlisle, you would think the OKC Thunder roster is the James-Younger gang reincarnated. But I’ve had a chance to speak with just about every player on the roster and they are, to a man, a great group of guys. But, when the ball is tossed up

Chad Buchanan on Courtside: Ideally, I think that's our No. 1 thing we have to address this offseason is finding a long term starting point guard. This free agent group is fairly strong, there might be some trade opportunities out there, but that's No. 1 for us with this team, trying to find a long

Today the Trail Blazes participated in annual exit interviews, a somewhat sobering period of reflection immediately after the end of the season. Usually it’s similar to the last day of school, guys signing jerseys, snapping photos and giving final high-fives prior to departing for the summer.

Exit interviews always come too early for all but one team each season, but this year's wrap up at the practice facility came far, far too soon.
Technically, Portland's 2011-12 season ended only a few days later than the end of the 2010-11 season, but that season came to a close with a loss to th
