Trail Blazers Vs. Mavericks Game Thread
Who can forget what happened between these two teams the last time they battled in the Rose Garden? Check the video below if either A) You're living under a rock or B) well, there's no other explanation for not remembering the improbable comeback which took place on January 29th. First Nicolas Batum hit a big 3, then it was LaMarcus Aldridge who decided it was time for him to drain his first 3 of the season, that one of the step-back variety. Former Trail Blazer Ronnie Price stepped in for the charge, giving the ball back to the home team where LA took it from there. Aldridge hit a game-winning shot against his hometown squad for the second-year in a row. Will this game be filled with as much drama as the previous contest? One thing's for sure, Aldridge will be back for seconds and if Friday's game against Houston was any indication, he's ready. LA tallied 32 points, on 12-19 shooting, and 13 rebounds as he showed no signs of rust after a four-game layoff (ankle). While the Blazers are eliminated from the playoffs and the Mavs are fighting for their own postseason lives, this one has all the makings of another photo finish. Both teams always seem to play classics against one another, especially in the Rose City (cough*Game 4*cough) and when you have two of the game's best power forwards going toe-to-toe, beautiful basketball will be in the building on this Sunday night.
So Rip City, what are your keys to victory?
