Trail Blazers @ Thunder Game Thread
The Thunder are already an elite team and they'll be playing at home where they sport an impressive 30-5 record. So if you're Portland, you can't make life any easier on OKC and put them at the line. Oklahoma City gets to the free-throw line more than any team in the entire NBA, as they attempt 27.5 free-throws per game. And it all starts with Kevin Durant and Russell Westrbook who each rank in the Top 7 in the league in foul shot attempts. Not only does OKC get to the line frequently, but they convert 82.7% of the time -- tops in the league. Just how important is it for Portland to keep Oklahoma City off the charity stripe? In their 106-92 loss to the Thunder back on November 2nd, the Trail Blazers allowed 32 attempts, but when OKC made the trek to the Pacific Northwest, Portland played tougher, smarter defense and only surrendered 22 freebies. While the Blazers still lost that contest, 87-83, they had their chances to knock off their division rivals in the final minutes.
So Rip City, what are your keys to victory?
