Trail Blazers Vs. Jazz Game Thread
While the Jazz shot a sub-par 4-15 from beyond the arc in the win, they will continue to get open looks as the Trail Blazers will most likely double-down on the Utah's bigs, mainly Al Jefferson and Paul Milsap. Utah was able to jump out to a 15-point halftime lead large in part to their dominance down low, doubling up Portland in the paint, 32-16, at the half. This is when Coach Stotts went to the double and it worked. Had the Blazers even shot their average from the floor, they walk out of Salt Lake City as victors. Randy Foye shot the majority of their 3's (3-11) so he could be the X-Factor Saturday. He'll get his looks, and if he's on, it'll be an uphill climb for Rip City as they'll have to pick their poison; Either throw an extra defender to help protect the paint and leave a shooter like Foye open or take your chances defending their bigs with only one defender. If Portland can hold Utah to sub-30% from 3 once again, this time the outcome will be more favorable.
So Rip City, what are your keys to victory?
