Trail Blazers @ Knicks Game Thread


If the Trail Blazers want to hand the Knicks just their third home loss of the season, they must make life miserable on New York's shooters. Even if this means playing more physical in denying the basketball and picking up a couple extra fouls, because Portland has to keep Carmelo Anthony, JR Smith, and Steve Novak out of rhythm. Fortunately for Portland, Wesley Matthews is expected to return from a hip-flexor injury and the Blazers will need his bulldog mentality out there on the perimeter. Rip City may get another break as Melo is questionable for this New Year's affair as he's still feeling the effects of a hyperextended left knee.
