Trail Blazers Vs. Rockets Game Thread

At this point, it is unclear whether or not LaMarcus Aldridge and Nicolas Batum will play Friday night against the Houston Rockets. But if they can't go, it'll be an even bigger blow than usual. Portland is 2-1 this season against Houston, large in part to the contributions of Aldridge and Batum. In the three games against the Rockets, Aldridge averaged 29 points and 9.3 rebounds while Batum put up 25.3 points, 5.7 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 2.3 steals, and 3.3 blocks. It's safe to say that those two had Houston's number this season. But where will the production come from? My guess is that it won't be just two players filling LA and Nic's shoes, rather a team effort where every one who plays, chips in a little here and a little there. We know Luke Babbitt has the potential to get hot from downtown and connect on multiple 3's. Joel Freeland added 7 off the bench against Memphis, even showing off a nice spin and slam in the first-half. And then there's Eric Maynor who looks more to pass first, but has the ability to put the ball in the bucket. As long as the Trail Blazers get something from everyone, they'll be right in this one until the end.

So Rip City, what are your keys to victory? Continue>>>
