Trail Blazers Vs. Knicks Game Thread
It doesn't get any bigger than playing in Madison Square Garden. But hooping in the Big Apple didn't faze Portland's poised rookie, Damian Lillard, who led his Trail Blazers to a 105-100 victory back on new Year's Day. Dame put together a nice outing, scoring 21 points, handing out 6 assists, and pulling down 5 rebounds, but he was at his best when his team needed him the most. Portland had a sizable lead the entire night until Carmelo Anthony (45 points) and Co. made their push. Just when the fans thought the comeback was comeback, Lillard hit them with his patented step-back three to silence the crowd and secure the road win. And the bad news for New York is that Lillard's in a groove offensive right now, as he's strung together seven consecutive 20+ point performances. Although I expect Dame to make it eight straight games with 20 or more points, look for him to rack up the assists against the Knicks. Neither Ray Felton or Jason Kidd (at this stage in his career) can keep Damian in front of them, which means he'll be living in the paint, looking for his bigs to dump the ball of to for easy buckets if Tyson Chandler has to come over on the weak-side.
So Rip City, what are your keys to victory?
