Trail Blazers Vs Mavericks Game Thread
The last time these two teams met, Dallas used a 31-12 4th Q to blow open what was a four-point game at the end of three. The culprit? OJ Mayo. Mayo was sizzling to start the season and had arguably one of his best shooting performances of the year that November night in Dallas where he scored a game-high 32 points on 12-18 shooting, including an insane 6-8 from 3-point land. This is where Wesley Matthews comes in. We need his bulldog-like mentality to lock up Mayo and force the Dallas offense to come elsewhere. And we also need Wesley's 3-point shooting to come back. Since hitting those two clutch 3's against Miami, he's shot a sub-par 15-56 from downtown -- just a 26.7% average. Whenever Wesley scores 20 or more, the Trail Blazers are 7-3.
So Rip City, what are your keys to victory?
