    HEAD COACH TERRY STOTTS
    “It was a nice effort at the end, but we can’t put ourselves in those positions. It was a tough night on a lot of fronts.  The second half, the first two possessions were a little loose and didn’t quite have it.  And it seemed like we were on our heels and weren’t aggressive.  They were much more aggressive.  (On Indiana’s defense) I thought it was good.  Hibbert (Roy) is a presence in the paint.  You drive in there and they really converge.  Towards the end of the game we made some nice passes when they came to the penetration.  We probably should have recognized that a little sooner.  They’re a quality defensive team.  (On the third quarter)  I thought Indiana came out with a lot of aggressiveness at both ends of the floor.  I don’t necessarily think we reacted quick enough to that.  They were getting the ball inside.  I think they made adjustments to our zone and had some good looks there.”

    On the third quarter
    "I think they started to execute, they started to make their shots, they made some tough shots.  I think they picked up their intensity a little bit also.  Consistency has been a problem for us.  We haven’t been starting games off well, but tonight we did start off good.  But we did not finish.  It’s been the other way around where we haven’t started well and finished strong.  We’ve been playing up and down, kind of going through spurts.  If I knew why we’re playing like that, if I could I’d fix it.”

    On the third quarter
    "I don’t think the wheels came off.  I just think they made their run.  It was a close game at halftime.  But I think that was because they missed a lot of shots.  And in the third quarter they made their shots and we were missing ours.  And it led to a spurt for them.  (What did you learn about your team on the road trip?) I think we’re a resilient team.  We dropped the first four games, the first two we could have easily won.  But on the other hand, the two that we won were in overtime and we could have dropped all seven.  But I think it was good for us going through some growing pains, kind of like it’s been the whole season.”
