HEAD COACH TERRY STOTTS
“It was disappointing. Boston came out really aggressive. Doc called them a soft team and they came out aggressive. And they were very aggressive with their pick and rolls. They committed fouls early, we got into bonus early. You know they had us on our heels for the first two quarters and it took us a while to regroup.”

Re: Hard lesson in rebuilding?
“Well that’s too big picture right now. I think right now it’s about our guys that we’re playing tonight. Matching the same intensity and aggressiveness. You know and doing what we need to do to compete. We went into the third quarter, we played a little bit better, made some adjustments but you know we were on our heels from the beginning.”

Re: What do you say to your team
“We were in a similar situation, we lost four in a row earlier, lost at home to Atlanta, went to Sacramento to win the game, and that’s what we’ve got to do this time. We’ve got to go to Cleveland and win a game.”

Re: LaMarcus Aldridge at the post
“You know we were in the bonus early and we didn’t have much going with the pick and rolls so once they got in the bonus, once we got in the bonus, we wanted to force it to him in the post and play through him.”

“He’s going to learn from tonight, and we as a team have to learn, when they’re trapping him that aggressively, how to handle that, how to escape from the trap, how to dribble the ball out. And we as a team have to get confidence. Again, I didn’t think he forced it, I thought we have to do a better job of helping him when team’s are being aggressive with him and we’ll do that.”

“A little of both, but I give credit to their defense. They were very aggressive. Kevin Garnett’s been one of the best interior defenders in the last 10 to 15 years. He changes the game. Like I said, the pick and rolls were very aggressive. We rely on the pick and rolls and weren’t able to get much out of those early.”

Re: Nicolas Batum
“I don’t think so. We haven’t changed a lot. He’s had some opportunities. We’ve been trying to get him some pick and rolls. And his three’s, he has some looks for three’s. He had some drives to the basket. So one of the things is, is when the ball is moving and when you’re trying to do different things it’s not always going to be the same. But you can’t change a lot on the fly so we’re doing a lot of the same things.”

Re: Pulling the starters, easy decision?
“Yeah. They played almost the whole third quarter and we were down 16. But they still played a lot of minutes as it is. I thought in the 4th quarter, I was really proud of the young guys and how they played. They really competed and they battled. You know the 5 guys that played the 4th quarter I was pleased to see them have an opportunity.”

LaMARCUS ALDRIDGE
“I thought we came out passive and they came out really aggressive. After the last game you know everything they had going on, they had to set the tone early and they did and they have a lot of young guys out there”

“I don’t worry about where my shot is coming from. If I’m getting jump shots I’m going to take jump shots. I don’t really care where people say my shot is coming from all I’m trying to do is put my team in the position to win.”

NICOLAS BATUM
“We’ve got to be ready. We’ve got to move the ball much smarter. Tonight we didn’t move the ball we didn’t go for the defensive ball so we have to be much more aggressive and play together”
